Conducted a year-long original research senior thesis examining the Rights of Nature movement, which culminated in a 102 page senior thesis.  Utilizing semi-structured in-depth interviews with ground-level activists and senior staff members at social movement organizations here in the United States, I executed a comprehensive qualitative analysis of the Rights of Nature movement.  

    Topics of analysis were: (1) the tenets of the Rights of Nature movement; (2) adherents and organizers mobilization tactics and strategies; (3) how advocates mobilize support for non-human entities; (4) the efficacy of court-centered strategies or the lack thereof; (5) adherents beliefs as to the role of the courts and litigation; (6) adherents responses to, and tactics regarding, litigation; and lastly, (7) how the growth of the Rights of Nature movement affect concepts and perceptions about environmental justice and what it is held to mean.

    My primary advisor was Sho Sato Professor of Law at Berkeley Law, Daniel Farber.  Professor Farber is also the co-director for the Center for Law, Energy & the Environment at Berkeley Law.   My secondary advisor was Agnes Robb Professor of Law, at Berkeley Law, Dr. Lauren B. Edelman.  Professor Edelman is also a professor of sociology at the University of California Berkeley.

Executed legislative research project for a reform proposal: drafted a comprehensive analysis report, analyzed regulations and statutes concerning usage of criminal history information in adverse actions. Research I compiled contributed to the "Consumer Arrest Record Equity Act" (SB 393) which was approved by the California Assembly and signed into law by Governor Brown on October 11, 2017. Drafted statement(s) of facts, analyzed court transcripts, compiled court calendar files, screened state and federal rap-sheets and case files, and generated audio and visual evidence for hearings.
