It's 3 o'clock Sunday morning. You wake up, carpet-mouthed after the salt and pepper special from the chippy last night. You wander to the bathroom, about to stick your face under the tap, when you suddenly remember you bought a bottle of 7up with your dinner. Feeling victorious at the prospect of deleting your thirst with something cold and fizzy, you swagger downstairs, open the fridge, and... It's not there. You look in the takeaway bag. Not there. You look in the living room. Not there. Panicking, you go back in the kitchen. Oh great, yeah, there it is on the side LIDLESS coz you opened it last night and LUKEWARM coz the heating's on full blast. You sigh, reluctantly chug it down coz moisture, and head back to bed absolutely fuming for wasting a fantastic carpet mouth on a bottle of warm, flat lemonade. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I want you to have an unbiased look through your marketing. That means your website. Ads, if you run them. Socials (including bios), brochures, slogans, packaging, product descriptions, landing pages - you get the gist. Then ask yourself these questions: - Would you give it a second glance? - Are they memorable? - Do the words inspire you to take some sort of action? If yes, congratulations, you don’t need me and probably were looking for help with copyright law (it happens a lot). If no, you've got a problem. Because your customers are carpet-mouth thirsty for your product or service. And you're giving them the equivalent of a warm, flat bottle of lemonade. So what can you do?
