University of Oregon Athletic Department

Had the pleasure of working with the University of Oregon Athletic Department -Women’s Sports – Women’s Softball program. This is a Division I, NCAA program ranked in the top 10 this year. I actively participate in practices, where I find myself assisting with field set up, drills, and equipment management. I also work behind the scenes with videography and documentation work. Fortunately, I am learning what operations processes must be planned and completed in order to successfully carry out a softball game, a series, a season. I have also experienced the processes of university level sports equipment purchasing and inventory management. I have taken responsibility of many marketing and promotional events that have taken place over the course of my work with Oregon Softball. I anticipate continuing this employment as I progress through the remaining year of school at the University of Oregon.

Salle Mauro Fencing Academy

During my sophomore summer, I returned home to Houston and worked at a fencing academy. I coached and assisted students that ranged from toddlers to college fencers. I taught participants the basics of fencing and also intensely trained and conditioned the students of higher caliber. I managed large numbers of children attending weekly camps that lasted several hours each day. I learned how to be a good coach/trainer and how to supervise and manage groups of younger clients.
