Translation: Doubling down. Holding your line. Refusing to fold.

Origin: Popularized when Justin Bieber told a paparazzi, “It’s not clocking to you that I’m standing on business.” (Yes. That actually happened.)

RevOps use cases in the office include:
1️⃣ STANDING ON BUSINESS = Telling Sales they can’t have another custom field.
2️⃣ STANDING ON BUSINESS =Refusing to duct-tape another workflow when you know the system needs fixing.

Here are our takeaways from the recent Arovy (FKA Sonar) webinar on the Drift, a Salesloft company data breach and upcoming Salesforce security changes:

𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬
⦿ Starting Tuesday, all Connected Apps in Salesforce must be reauthorized—this could impact customer tech stacks.
⦿ SFDC may revoke old tokens in response to recent phishing/vishing attacks targeting admins.
⦿ Recommendation: Be aware and check your integrations!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭
⦿ Drift’s OAuth token table was compromised (not due to phishing/vishing).
⦿ Attackers both extracted and injected data in impacted Salesforce orgs.
⦿ Watch for:
    » SFDC outreach to affected orgs
    » Unusual API activity spikes
    » Drift Connected App “Last Used” around Aug 12–13

𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠
⦿ Real-time detection is tough—only possible with active integration monitoring.
⦿ Salesforce Shield/Event Monitoring add-on ($$) is the main way to audit impacted data.
⦿ Use REST API event logs and tools like Field Audit Trail for investigations.

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
⦿ Require vendors use static IPs for integration users; not all do this by default.
⦿ Monitor Connected Apps & API activity continually.
⦿ Assign only necessary permissions to integration users.
⦿ Don’t rely on random, unverified Salesforce tools.
⦿ Enable Event Manager (storage + streaming) to retain necessary monitoring data.

⦿ Some Connected Apps may show as “previously connected” even when blocked/uninstalled.
⦿ Check OAuth Usage—zero authenticated users means no exposure.
⦿ Sonar/Arovy is assisting even non-Sonar customers with exposure reviews.
⦿ Stay vigilant and review your org’s Connected Apps—these changes and lessons are worth sharing!

3 Types of CRO Dumpster Fires

[the real juicy stuff always goes down in the chat amirite??]

He linked us to Tracy Sestili's post on Clay’s new minimum deal threshold — no conversations for deals under $20K ACV. 

The rationale is so clear once you tally up the real costs: AE time, commissions, tech stack, onboarding, and more. 

Small deals aren’t just less profitable; they actually consume resources at a rate that can quietly wreck your CAC payback and pipeline health.

Personally, I love thinking about these shifts with the mindset of experimentation. 

Before adopting new policies, I try to frame it as: what’s the constraint? What’s our hypothesis? (e.g., “Focusing on higher ACV will improve margin and sales effectiveness.”) What data will show us if it’s working?

This way, every decision is less about gut feel and more about learning what actually moves the needle. Tracy’s post is a great reminder to pause, measure, and be open to adjusting — especially before locking in anything just because it’s industry wisdom.
