Began organization as the Job Developer Supervisor -Responsible for overseeing weekly Job Club topics (10-20+ attendees). Collecting, organizing, and manually performing time cards/payroll for employment specialists. Working with individuals with disabilities. Working closely with case workers at the Bay Area Regional Center and Counselors from the Department of Rehabilitation. Ensure employment specialists turned in monthly reports and maintained case notes. Performed client intakes, job plans, and assessments. As an employment specialist, work with disabled client caseload. Training clients on job development, job prep, career topics, writing resumes, presenting their skills to hiring decision makers. Cold calling multiple organizations presenting clients that bring workforce diversity to their companies. Negotiating salaries, accompanying client to interviews. High number of successful placements. Met and exceeded placement quotas.

Primary Job Developer for Abilities United. A reputable non-profit organization that has spent 54 years representing individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. The Job Developer works closely with the Department of Rehabilitation and Regional centers that refer clients-Includes, case management, Intakes, job coaching, job training, focuses on job retention and recruiting. Primary goal is to develop community partnerships with organizations that want workforce diversity. Spoke on workforce diversity at companies such as, Google, LinkedIn, & Stanford. Continuing to utlize my background in Business Development in the career arena to find ideal opportunities for my clients. After many years representing IT professionals I made a decision in '07 to focus on workforce diversity. I have spent close to two years representing individuals with disabilities who focus on their "ABILITY." Moving into my third year in the non-profit arena I now have the opportunity to represent young adults between the ages 15-24 in the workforce. These incredible individuals have faced a lifetime of adversity and are determined to master work ethic and contribute positively to our society.

Sunny Hills Services Our Youth 
Each year more than 600 youth age-out of the foster care system in the San Francisco Bay Area at the age of 18. By the time they leave the system, many of these youth have lived in multiple homes. Most are thrust into unsupported, independent living without a high school education, money, employment, job prospects or a stable living situation. Represented AC Hire a Ca. initiative placing foster youth. Responsible for ensuring I followed all policies and procedures and administrative requirements.

Sunny Hills Services clients are transition aged youth between the ages of 15 and 24. Most are current or former foster youth. Others have been homeless or are at significant risk of homelessness. All have been impacted by violence, neglect, poverty, incarceration, mental illness and/or substance abuse.

Worked on a Medi-Cal state demonstration that focuses on finding Medi-Cal recipients living in skilled nursing facilities that want to transition back into the community living independently. The position worked closely with Doctors, patients, families, nursing facilities, charities, and state programs. The biggest obstacle in the demonstration was the lack of affordable housing available. The average affordable housing complex had a waiting list with a minimum of two years. The position required identifying creative, but safe living situations for the consumers.

Advise hiring managers on job accommodations and interviewing techniques that stay within ADA guidelines. Key speaker at non-profit fundraisers and Palo Alto NCHRA. Developed a successful Job Club geared towards introducing adults with disabilities to guest speakers from Fortune 500 companies. Topics covered various types of corporate hiring infrastructures. "Job Club allowed our clients to interact with high level corporate managers on a one on one basis and eliminated disability concerns and barriers."
