Co-Founded 2 integrated businesses with my wife, initially named Rose + Thyme (the “Rose” for fresh florals and the “Thyme” for “Thyme”-less preservation) which has since evolved to Rosie Rue Floral Co. and White Poppy Preservation respectively (see Rosie Rue and White Poppy positions for more details).

Rosie Rue Floral Co.

We franchisee out business services to florists. We find and book the clients as Rosie Rue Floral Co. and contract out the floral design / fulfillment to our individual franchisees (each are talented florists; most previously started their own businesses). 

Franchisees have a lot of flexibility on how many of our other services they utilize — including but not limited to marketing / lead generation, 3 online portals / SaaS platforms under development (a client portal, an event design portal, and a franchisee portal), event design services, pricing and ordering tools, shop space, and event rentals.

We started the business just doing florals ourselves but have been working towards franchising for the last year or two and officially switched over to franchising on Oct 15th, 2023.

White Poppy Preservation

We preserve florals for special events (mostly weddings and funerals). Our customers will mail their flowers to us the day after the event and we preserve them through our various methods based on the product.

Our most popular products are our pressed frames, where we press the flowers until they are paper thin and put them in a glass frame they can hang on the wall, but we also have several other products (such as shadow boxes, resin pieces, jewelry, and more). 

The preservation process takes 6-10 weeks and we ship the finished product back out to our customers, allowing them to remember their important life events for decades to come.

•	Scaled preservation processes to 100,000+ pressed flowers for 10,000+ customers
•	Designed and built custom CRM, OMS, barcode system, and database to keep track of 1M+ data points
•	Managed a corporate team of 5 to oversee all business improvement and development projects

CRO
•	Ran analytics and made strategic decisions where to invest to grow revenue with a 7x+ ROAS
•	Optimized pricing based on seasonality to allow for 200%+ markup in high demand months
