Mane Hook-Up is a beauty booking platform that helps afro & curly hair stylists to build their online presence while saving time, energy and money on marketing themselves. 

We've been featured in the likes of British Vogue, Black Hair & Beauty Magazine, and Pop Sugar for helping transform the afro hair industry. We're raising a seed round and looking for like-minded investors who want to create an inclusive beauty industry that celebrates all hair types.

I kick-started my public speaking career with a TED Ideas talk in December of 2024. Now, I do panel discussions and keynote talks for large and causal business events (both online and in-person). My aim is to leave the audience feeling inspired and motivated to act on what they've learned.

After spending 11+ years building a marketing career before going on to build Mane Hook-Up full-time, my talks focus on my experience of becoming a leader/founder and how the Black hair industry can be used as a vehicle for creating long-lasting wealth for generations to come. 

All talks are tailored to each event to deliver what's best for the audience and the host.

Crowned with Care

A joint initiative run by Mane Hook-Up and DOOPS Braiding academy, that helps Black and mixed-race vulnerable children get access to hair appointments, products and education for free. Our launch events in Leicester and London helped 75 children get support with the help of over 10+ brands and community fundraising. 

We are teaming up with charities and non-profits who support vulnerable children to run hair days with their looked-after children. And, we are looking for corporations that run ESG initiatives that are interested in supporting vulnerable and underrepresented communities.

Log my Care is transforming care for society's most vulnerable people. We're helping providers to free up time and focus on caring for those in need with our digital care management platform. I'm focusing on building the marketing department from the ground up and working within the leadership team to determine the strategic direction of the business. In summer 2022, I was part of the team that helped raise £3.2m VC round and helped scale the business from a team of 7 to 35.

Coconut is a bookkeeping and tax app for sole traders. My responsibilities varied from creating content to better engage with the existing community to running website experiments and optimising the CVR of existing channels (e.g. website and ASO). Having led the redesign and re-development of the Coconut website - which included migrating the site from WordPress to Webflow - our CVR increased by 112%.
