The $41 Pizza That Became a $1.1 Billion Lesson 🍕 On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz traded 10,000 BTC for 2 pizzas from Papa John's. At the time, it was worth $41. People laughed. Said it was stupid. But here’s what those same 10,000 BTC were worth over time: 📆 2010 – $41 (2 pizzas) 📆 2020 – $90,000,000 📆 2022 – $300,000,000 📆 2025 – $1,100,000,000+ Same Bitcoin. Different belief. I thought mid-air theft was just a movie scene until it happened to me. On a flight from Ho Chi Minh to Kuala Lumpur, I stored my cabin bag, wallet, cards, cash in the overhead bin. Midway, I ordered coffee. Pulled out my wallet. Paid. All good. Until a co-passenger, Dickson, walked up with the air hostess: “Sir, can you please check your wallet again?” I smiled because I had paid now but checked. All my cards were gone.  Cash too. Turns out two passengers had been opening my overhead bin multiple times. We landed.  Security stepped in. They found 3 of my cards stashed 5 rows away. At first, the suspects denied everything. Minutes later, one was caught hiding more cards, not even mine, but others'. Their trick? Steal in-flight, send card info via WeChat, hop on another flight. No checked luggage. No evidence. Police arrested them. But I was left in Malaysia with no cash, no cards. What helped? ✅ Grab app for transport ✅ Crypto converted by my team to local currency in hours P.S.: Lessons learnt: Don’t keep all your cards in one wallet. When banks fail you, Bitcoin won’t. I never had a career plan. No mentors. No roadmap. Just hope. My father was a priest at Lord Krishna’s temple. He always said “Do your karma, results will follow.” We couldn’t afford a full degree. So I let go of my biggest dream, becoming a chess champion same season with V Anand made it. I was a state-level player, But survival came first. So I chose a diploma over a degree in 200 USD contribution by devotees of lord krishna. No sports. No shortcuts. Just responsibility. But I didn’t quit chess. I became an International Chess Arbiter, And supported tournaments for the next generation. Then came my first job, pharma sales. 11 years in. Climbed the ladder. Learned the hustle. Started my own IT company. Still, something felt missing. And then life surprised me. A client once paid me in Bitcoin. I didn’t fully get it. But I watched it rise. And my curiosity exploded. That one moment changed everything. I dove into blockchain. Then crypto. Then Web3. And now AI and the Agentic Web. I didn’t have a degree in any of this. But I had the courage to say yes to new chapters. Today, I build ventures. I invest in startups. I help founders bet on themselves.
