I'm a continuous learner seeking to break into the financial services market. I am learning how to make effective business decisions based on data and financial analysis. MY STORY: In high school, I did a four-year engineering program. It was extremely fun building prototypes and learning how metal stretched as it was pulled apart. I sought to continue that experience and planned to pursue mechanical engineering in college until I saw the long list of physics courses required and realized I wanted to pursue a different interest, history and language. I studied the Old Testament and learned Hebrew for my undergraduate degree. I loved learning about the ancient world but knew that I wanted to make a difference in the modern world. At the time I was focused on teaching as a means to impact the world. That focus led me to my Master's degree in Instructional Psychology and Technology which was appealing for the way it blended, practical researched-based skills, design thinking, and technology together to meet the needs of learners. Upon completing my Master's (and a variety of internships along the way), I sought a more high-paced environment where I could learn the business and contribute meaningfully to the company's mission. I was given the opportunity to join a small start-up as the 7th employee and help with a transition to new ownership, acquiring $X,XXX,XXX in funding, and growing the business. It has been incredible! I've worked on and managed projects in IT, Operations, Business Development/Sales, Safety, deal analysis, and tech adoption. Looking forward, I want to continue to develop my understanding and experience in sales, financial analysis, project management, and building relationships so that I can help drive a company's mission and make a difference in the world. I want to work for a company that has a vision and mission to do good in the world.
