Almost two decades of sales experience and I still love this job. I’ve worked for 4 companies in that time, all with over 5 years of tenure. I was told by an early mentor that in order to grow your career quickly in this field you have to jump every ~2 years. While I didn’t follow that path, I have colleagues that have. Many times during my career I watched a peer chase a title, make the leap for a paycheck, and end up miserable, while I took the long road and made a name for myself at every company I chose to work for. While it may have taken me longer, I’m proud of the people I have met, worked for, worked with, and mentored along the way. There is no perfect road for your journey, but it’s important to enjoy yourself along the way!
