Step 1 — Market Mapping

Started by mapping the entire market for our client.
Identified their top 10 longest-paying customers → reverse-engineered the pattern.

Built the ICP model from real retention data, not assumptions.
Used Clay + proprietary sources to scrape every company in that segment.

Extracted buying signals, intent, and behavioral traits using AI columns in Clay.
We don’t map personas — we map people.

Real actions. Real data. Real signals.

Result: 25,000+ high-signal prospects with verified contact + social data.

Step 2 — Data Gathering

We didn’t pull from random databases.
We went direct to source — where prospects actually live:

 → websites, job boards, social pages, product listings, hiring portals, public posts.

Scraped raw data, extracted meaning with AI columns in Clay, and layered it into our signal model.
Built a living dataset that updates as markets move.

Lesson: Data is only valuable if you know where it breathes.

Step 3 — Channel Rotation

Cold email was the testing ground.
Once reply rates plateaued, we rotated channels using the same enriched data.

Reached the same people via LinkedIn DMs, cold calls, and retargeting ads.
Each channel stacked → more surface area, more contact, more deals.

Result: Slack lit up with Closed-Won notifications across multiple touchpoints daily.
