Since I was a young child, my favorite hobby was taking apart any new toy I got. I loved watching the gears work together; That magical scene was the first thing I learned about systems. And when I completed my secondary school on 1998, I was introduced to the computer for the first time, and since then we have never been apart. I found that joy in building solutions in the world of software engineering and discovered a world without limits. I started working in 2004, nearly two decades ago, I had the good fortune to start my first job at DHL, where I witnessed dozens of systems working together to provide world-class logistics services. After that in 2007, I moved to work at a startup telecom company, There I encountered a different kind of experience, as working in startup companies is considered a great challenge, where the challenge is actually being responsible for building almost everything. The first six years of my professional life were rich in experiences, such as working in companies with multiple cultures, collaborating with professionals from different backgrounds and working closely with cutting edge technologies. In the year 2013, I was faced with the biggest challenge in my career, as I was chosen to be the SPOC person in the ERP implementation project, I remember the days and nights I spent to learn Financial & Inventory Accounting, as well as learning how to write scripts for new functions and reports. The project spanned almost one year since kick-off till full operation with many sleepless nights, and many nights where I reached the brink of collapse, but in the end the team was able to achieve success. And as usual in life, not all stories are happy until the end, the year 2015 came with war, and for five years my only goal was to survive and protect my family. I must admit that I was on the verge of losing faith in myself and to lose everything I built, but I learned a great lesson in patience, so I decided not to stop working even without financial compensation. In 2020 I found a new job in a startup Fintech company, and yes it was COVID year and the war still ongoing, but when it’s time it’s time. Now when I look into my past 20 years I see a totally different human being, a man who faced death several times and survived, a man who lost hope for a while but never lost his self, a man with huge life experience and knowledge, a man who is lucky to have beautiful kids and lovely family, a man who believes in one thing: As long as you are a live, keep learning new things every day.
