Carbon Trade eXchange (ctxglobal.com) is a subsidiary company of Global Environmental Markets and was the first global electronic exchange for the voluntary carbon market. It has operated successfully for 10+ years, over which tens of millions of carbon credits have been securely transacted. I was initially hired by the Founder and CEO to work directly for the parent company (GEM), but due to business growth, transitioned into spending more time running day-to-day Sales and Trading for CTX.

Community building is one of the Company's foremost objectives and as a result, this community grows stronger due to the collaborative effort of all parties involved.

SafeToNet is an award winning cyber safety company that safeguards children from online risks such as cyberbullying, grooming, abuse, aggression and more. The Company’s patented software uses a mixture of artificial intelligence, natural language processing and device management technologies to keep children safe online without invading their privacy. It was the first company in the world to disable individual apps running on both an iOS and Android device and was also the first to launch a real-time sext filtering tool preventing a child from sending inappropriate images. I was hired by the Founder and CEO to work directly for him.

SuiteBox is a rapidly scaling SaaS solution that combines a secure video meeting environment, document collaboration capability, recording functionality and the latest digital signing and verification tools into one unique platform.  SuiteBox can be white-labelled and integrated into most enterprise workflows and CRMs and is currently being deployed across numerous verticals for a variety of different use cases. I was headhunted to set up the European regional office for the NZ founded, Australian headquartered business.

Wholesale Investor is Australia and South East Asia’s leading private investment platform, connecting high net worth and professional investors with private, pre-IPO and small cap listed investment opportunities. Through the Wholesale Investor platform and exclusive investor events, these companies can showcase their business and investment opportunities to over 16,000 high net worth, professional and international investors, or to CEOs seeking acquisition targets.

Managed both domestic and international business development for Wholesale Investor, with a strong emphasis on new business development, revenue growth and the strategic direction of the company. Led the establishment of Wholesale Investor's footprint in Asia Pacific and the UK, with the focus of helping companies to access capital, strategic and trade opportunities from these regions. Played a key role in the equity investment from global investment bank Investec into Wholesale Investor.

In this role, I was based out of Sydney, NSW but also managed corporate and investor relationships with interstate and international clients. My role was inclusive of, but not limited to:
- All aspects of business development including new client acquisition, investor liaising and promotion of the Wholesale Investor brand. This involves meeting with investors and potential clients face to face, over the phone, as well as undertaking various interstate & international trips.
- Deal sourcing and analysis.
- Investor event planning and hosting.
- Applying strategic and entrepreneurial approaches to increase revenue and drive the growth of the business.
- Managing relationships with Entrepreneurs, CEO's, HNWs, Professional Investors, Brokers, Advisers and Service Providers.
- Implementing marketing strategies tailored to a HNW audience.

Co-Founder of Walmer Group, a UK-based Innovation Funding Specialist. 

With over 12 years of experience in sales, business development, trading and financial services, James previously spent 4.5 years growing Australia’s leading private investment platform throughout Asia Pacific. 

Since moving to the UK in 2017, he has worked with a number of fast-growing start-ups and scale-ups (SaaS, AI, Climate Tech) in their business growth and commercial strategies. 

James Co-Founded Walmer Group due to his close observation of senior business leaders, who typically experience 1 or all of these 3 issues when it comes to finding innovation funding:
- They don’t have the time.
- They don’t think they qualify.
- They don’t know where to start.

He also holds a Master of Finance and Bachelor of Property Economics from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and is a sports tragic.

Ari has worked in the quantitative side of financial services for nearly 20 years. His experience in finance started with hands-on building of securitisation cashflow models for residential and commercial mortgages, and he went on from there to leading business functions across analytics, data science, business intelligence, data governance, and market data procurement.  Prior to joining Macquarie, Ari was Group CDO at Investec, responsible for governing enterprise-wide data migration to cloud and leading Data & AI management across regions and business units – and prior to that, he was CDO for the Corporate and Institutional Bank at Investec with accountability across Data Offense, Defence and Foundations.

Angus has spent his career at the convergence of financial services, technology and regulation, founding and leading multiple FCA, ASIC and GFSC-regulated businesses shaping the future of financial advice and wealth management. A Mechatronic and Computer Science Engineer turned FinTech CEO, he’s applying agentic AI to enhance - not replace – financial advisers, improving compliance and client outcomes.

A seasoned expert in cloud technology and security, Brian has over two decades of experience leading transformation across the global financial services sector. He’s held senior leadership roles including Head of Security and Compliance for AWS Financial Services EMEA, Director of Cloud and Security at a Silicon Valley analytics firm, and CTO of a UK-based cybersecurity services provider. As CTO at Revenir, he’s combining innovation with robustness - building AI-powered products that deliver security, scalability, and real-time intelligence for financial institutions.
