By day, I’m a backend developer at LinkedIn, working with Java, Scala and (very) Big Data. By night, I’m a podcast host, mentor and writer, helping people with non-traditional backgrounds break into tech. I see life as a game, with different levels of personal growth, meaningful relationships and paying it forward. A few levels I've cleared so far: 🌟 Paid for college and bought a house playing an online game. 🌟 Conquered obesity. Fitness and nutrition are now staples in my life. 🌟 Lived in Sweden for a year, building houses and volunteering. 🌟 Went to work on a tugboat. Promoted to manage 50+ boats & barges. 🌟 Found a passion in programming, left the boats and started working at LinkedIn 6 months later. 🌟 Started working with others to pursue their own dreams of breaking into tech. 🌟 Launched a Podcast: Exponential Growth - How to Break in to Tech.
