From flying F/A-18E/F Super Hornets over the Pacific to building a small regenerative farm in Wisconsin, my career has been about embracing new challenges, connecting with people, and finding common threads across every role. Starting my professional life as a Naval Officer, I had the incredible opportunity to work alongside driven individuals, navigate the skies, and immerse myself in cultures I’d never imagined visiting. My experiences—from Japan’s mountainsides to California’s deserts—sparked a deep curiosity for learning and exploring that has fueled my entire journey. After transitioning from the military in 2017, my wife and I dove into the world of self-employment, launching our own business, a small farm, New Columbia Acres. From sales and customer outreach to hands-on agricultural training at the Farm School in Massachusetts, every experience has been about connecting with others and working toward shared goals. Over three exciting years, we raised animals, shared our products with our community, and formed lasting friendships with the people we met at the farmers’ market. In 2021, with our family growing, we moved back to the DC area, bringing along the many lessons our farm taught us: resilience, adaptability, and the art of building connections. Whether managing operations, developing strategies, or guiding a project to success, I see each role as a chance to connect with people, learn from them, and make a meaningful impact together. Today, I’m passionate about growth—both my own and that of others. With a background in aviation, business ownership, and agriculture, I bring a unique blend of skills in technical writing, operations, sales, and communications.
