Most kids dream of being astronauts, firemen or superheroes..... I wanted to be an accountant, and I'm sure you can imagine how that went down in the playground. After qualifying in practice I canned my calculator, binned off my briefcase and traded it in for what could have been a life in lycra at the sport retailer Decathlon. After shedding my activewear I decided to broaden my experience in the world of sport. I spent 4 years on the leadership team of Benchmark, setting up corporate relay races across the globe, building sport courts in favelas in Rio and slums in Mumbai, dabbling in talent management, launching the British University Esport Championships with NSE and could once be found working the red carpet at the BT Sport Industry Awards. Not so long ago now I decide to fly the coup as I yearned for the peaceful and relaxing existence known as startup life.... Right now I’m currently fuelling startups, scaleups and SMEs with awesome finance teams at fin-house.
