I am an efficient, outgoing communicator and leader with a logical, analytical mind built through a career in journalism and PR. As a journalist I worked for BBC News producing for TV, radio and online. I gained a reputation for creating engaging, informative and educational content, quickly. Crisis communications is my specialism. Pre-pandemic I was with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) in Qatar. The SC is a Qatari government department responsible for the infrastructure and operations for Qatar to host the FIFA World Cup 2022™. As Head of Content Marketing I led a team to set the ‘tone of voice’ and communicate the ‘story of Qatar’ to the world. Before the SC I led editorial content for Group Comms of the UK's largest food retailer, Tesco. There I used my storytelling skills to rebuild trust in the Tesco brand and help develop their core purpose and values. I was headhunted by Tesco to advise the Board, Executive Committee and Group Communications on the best way to communicate the Tesco story to customers, colleagues, suppliers, investors and the government. During lockdown 2.0 I built a communications strategy for the NHS as Head of Communications & Engagement for the Whipps Cross Hospital Redevelopment (Barts NHS Trust) before then starting my own business, MK Eats. In 2022 I joined E.ON Next, as Head of Content and PR advisor. They supply over 6 million customers with 100% renewable electricity and are part of E.ON Group. I am a performing comedy improviser, generating ideas and communicating them succinctly to a live audience. I produce Crime Scene Improvisation who perform across Europe. I also rock climb and coach others on solving problems and improving their physical & mental health through climbing.
