At spotit I'm SOC Operations Guardian meaning that I serve the customers, protect the analysts, and uphold quality standards. (who doesn't love obscure Robocop references 😂)
Ownership of parts of the product stack keeps me mostly occupied but I do still get to handle SOME security incidents every day which I appreciate.
I've recently formed the SOC High Council where we ensure that SOC Operations, Engineering, and Product are aligned. The SOC High Council conducts big picture planning for the SOC, communicates with the rest of the company, and makes internal decisions.

Spotit has been a REAL blast! I've learned a tonne and expanded so much of my skillset.

Entrepreneur, strong business development professional, and an experienced consultant. James has expertise in digital marketing, sales, engineering, software development, and cybersecurity.

James has been running ZeroInfoSec since 2019, providing cybersecurity services to clients around the world.

Educated to PhD level in Mechanical Engineering, James also has numerous cybersecurity certifications and has held memberships to numerous Professional Bodies including (ISC)² and IMechE.

I usually post quite frequently on here about cyber and sales stuff, and the occasional random topic.

I'm nearly 38, a proud father of 4, and have been married for 10 years. I live in lovely Scotland and I'm into tech, sports (especially football), cars (BMW FTW), and various hobbies.
