I led the U.S. Marketing arm of the largest global appliance conglomerate through the eventual acquisition of General Electric Appliances in 2017.  In this role, I conceptualized, budgeted, created, and launched all B2B and B2C marketing strategies and communications for the brand and business units of the world’s number one appliance producer and leading consumer electronics company with over $38B in sales in over 100 countries.

Supervised a creative team staff of two designers, one video content producer, one web specialist, and one event coordinator to inline and offline content to support all business functions. Additionally, I managed external agencies for key programs and support during large-scale events like CES. 

Some of my greatest achievements in this position are:

■      Directed full brand relaunch, including positioning, messaging, and consumer segmentation, bolstering retail adoptions while spreading U.S. brand influence.

■      Developed and executed major events/announcements, attracting press, public awareness, and acknowledgment from local dignitaries.

■      Created and debuted multiple new websites to advance market share and innovative new branding campaigns.

Director of Marketing & Communications

In this role, I oversaw public relations and promotion of product line operations for the entire company and all departments, including appliances and electronics. In addition, I coordinated internal and external personnel to produce digital marketing projects related to social media, consumer engagement, PPC Campaigns, display, and email marketing programs.

■    Secured top media outlet exposure through successful pitches to O the Oprah Magazine, Good Housekeeping, and Family Circle.

As Senior Coordinator of Community & Player Programs, I managed public relations for local and national NBA community-building efforts for three professional sports leagues. I also collaborated with executives including EVP of Social Responsibility to refine and improve ongoing community initiatives and projects.

Highlights of this role include:

■   	Produced NBA Cares PSA segments, featured on nationally televised games on ABC, ESPN and TNT.

■   	Handled community outreach program publicity affairs for a NBA All-Star related fundraiser for New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

■   	Planned and directed largest community relations endeavor in NBA history NBA Cares. CNN, ESPN, New York Times, and US Weekly covered the event, reaching millions of viewers/readers.

Community & Player Programs Communications Senior Coordinator

In this role, I acted as liaison and advisor for Eastern Conference NBA executives, facilitating optimal communication between teams, press, and league.

Some hallmarks of this position include:

■	Composed NBA press releases and other written materials to inform media on important league events including the NBA Draft, NBA All-Star Game, and NBA Finals.

■	Carried out logistical planning for live interviews and NBA Draft held at Madison Square Garden.

Basketball Communications Coordinator

Managed promotional efforts of the NBA All-Star Jam Session, the NBA’s interactive fan event, during NBA All-Star weekend.

- Managed entire publicity process for the league’s premier fan event during NBA All-Star showcase week from pre-promotion in airline and train publications to onsite live shots with local televisions morning shows and top sports stations.

-Utilized public relations skills to secure front-page photos of Jam Session events in large newspapers such as the Philadelphia Daily News and Inquirer as well as national level attention from television shows such as “Extra” and the “Best Damn Sports Show Period.”
