Similarly to Sports Direct, I carried out similar tasks daily. As a sneaker collector myself, I found my feet at JD because they sold the shoes I similarly own/owned. It was easier to advise on the latest shoes due to familiarising myself with them.

From the experience I gained with Aldi, I quickly found my feed in the shoe business. Dealing with trainers/sneakers was a challenge because I had to advise on which shoes were suitable for which occasions. The store itself was also a busy one; selling 20-30 shoes was a standard requirement. My sales technique took place when I had to sell insoles; not everyone was keen on them but as a KPI, it was imperative to sell at least 5 a day. It was a good incentive for the store, as it was seen as an extra bonus. The store also had an influx of international customers such as Chinese, Argentinian, German or even French. With my language skills, I was able to tend to the German, French and Spanish customers.

Aldi UK

Working in Aldi was a fast paced experience. It allowed me to be able to deal with customers whilst keeping busy with daily tasks such as; clearing shelfs, stacking shelfs, checking if milk products/poultry are in check. As busy as th store was, it allowed me to think on my feet when dealing with customers requests.
