In this pivotal role, I led Bdaily’s editorial team in selecting and creating news content across the North East, Yorkshire and London regions as well as national breaking stories. I ensured that content is timely and in keeping with editorial guidelines, and actively developed new ways to increase page views and engagement. In addition to contributing to and overseeing the daily news output, I created forward features schedules as well as writing longer form pieces for a paid-subscription offering. I provided guidance and feedback to correspondents alongside supporting their professional development. I recruited and managed the platform's pool of freelance writers, commissioned articles and ensure quality standards are met. I worked with senior management on the overall strategy of the Bdaily brand, as well as working with marketing to establish suitable commercial opportunities and liaising directly with commercial partners and linked organisations.

I liaised regularly with PR companies and SMEs to source stories and raise the profile of the Bdaily brand. I regularly lead editorial meetings and contribute to team strategy sessions. In this varied role I managed tenancy marketing campaigns end-to-end as well as providing support for the main affiliate marketing social media team. My remit covered all of the Redu Group brands: Ashleigh Money Saver, Ashleigh Plus Size, Ashleigh Kids, Ashleigh Home, Ashleigh Mother & Baby and our partner brand Feed Your Family For Around £20 A Week. 
The tenancy element of my role involved coordinating all social, web, email and video content across Redu channels for clients depending on suitability and budget. I liaised with clients throughout their campaigns to monitor quality and performance, changing offers and coming up with strategies to improve revenue where necessary. At the end of campaigns I produced in-depth reports and evaluate their success, identifying any areas for improvement.

In addition to this I also worked with the social team to ensure that post quality is maintained. I worked with the content team to plan web, email and videos and organise all the elements required. I worked with the Finance team to create and chase up insertion orders for tenancy activity. I also wrote media packs for all brands and send weekly promotional B2B emails to our client base. I undertook prospecting for new business when required and worked on special projects such as the Body Positive Awards focusing on strategy and planning.

In my short time at Redu I became a vital part of the team, providing support across all business areas. I streamlined the tenancy process by implementing internal processes and co-ordinating activity across all channels. I was instrumental in implementing and maintaining the current CRM for the tenancy team and gained valuable experience in writing and planning content. I learned about affiliate marketing and about using Facebook as a marketing platform and was actively involved in creating influencer campaigns.

In this back office based role I handled the final redress stage of PPI complaints from Barclays Retail Banking: conducting final checks of cases to make sure all information is correct, cross referencing calculations with correspondence and financial reporting tools, proofreading correspondence and issuing redress.

This customer facing role involved the day-to day running of the branch, carrying out reviews to assess customer needs, account opening, cashiering, carrying out general transactional instructions, contributing to and running team meetings, internal auditing, supervising opening and closing of branches.
Alongside this I assisted with the daily running of the branch and took charge in my manager's absence. I delivered presentations within the branch for training purposes, as well as receipting mortgage correspondence and assessing suitability of documentation for underwriting purposes. I took ownership of store participation in regional and national product campaigns such as travel insurance, current accounts, credit cards; creating and implementing strategies to increase footfall, enquiries and sales of these products. I was also the Colleague Engagement champion for the store and worked with other champions across the region to improve colleague engagement. In this role I chaired and took minutes for meetings and conference calls, I arranged interdepartmental meetings at Head Office to improve communication and gain knowledge to take back to branch staff, and I wrote and distributed content to all regional colleagues to promote colleague engagement and update on team activities.
