Content Writer

I have recently been promoted from Journalist to Head Writer, and then again to Managing Editor, and I am now part of the editorial team. The position involves attending and organising events, writing articles, editing articles, managing the team of writers, website design, conducting interviews and reviewing events. 
Whilst we work with many local artists in the York area, I have also worked with several more well known ones, including Blink 182, Augustines, Billy Talent,The Stranglers, Johnny Rotten and Pil, Dave Mcpherson and Inme, The Damned, The Ordinary Boys and Alien Ant Farm.
I have also attended several large events in a press position, such as Leeds Festival and Download Festival.

This was a customer service role that involved taking phone calls, doing admin work and data cleansing and customer service work.

This position involves stocking shelves, serving customers, cleaning the shop, doing the stock take and working on the tills, as well as helping to run the upstairs art gallery. I also helped to overhaul the business when my boss first purchased the shop, and am quite often left in charge to manage the shop.

This is a voluntary position that I was elected into twice. The position involved creating and organising socials and events for the society, conducting health and safety assessments, giving members pastoral care and helping to run the society in general.

This position involved working at several county fairs across the Derbyshire region, serving customers, restocking the bar, cleaning the bar, and helping the rest of the team with their roles.

I completed a Masters degree in Ancient History at the University of Nottingham in 2017. I am looking to network and make connections within the, journalism, PR and marketing fields. I am currently a Content Writer at Embryo, however I have skills in the writing, editing and proofreading areas from my work as a freelance writer and my time at York Calling as Managing Editor. I also have experience in sales, admin & customer service from my role at Vaillant.

I have recently taken on a new role as Content Writer for Embryo Digital.
