As a Multilingual Education Coordinator for Secondary Schools at Austin Independent School District (AISD), I oversee the implementation and improvement of bilingual and dual language programs for more than 80,000 students. With a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Texas State University, I have the skills and knowledge to lead, mentor, and support teachers and administrators in providing high-quality instruction and learning opportunities for multilingual learners. Prior to this role, I was an Instructional Coach and Multilingual Specialist at AISD, where I helped design and deliver professional development, curriculum, and assessments for the multilingual education department. I also have six years of experience as a teacher at AISD, where I taught Spanish and English as a Second Language to diverse students. My mission is to empower multilingual learners to achieve academic excellence and cultural competence, while fostering a love for languages and cultures. I am passionate about creating equitable and inclusive learning environments that celebrate diversity and foster collaboration.
