Wells Fargo Private Bank 

Manages a portfolio of 63 closely held entities. Transitions controlling positions for C & S Corporations, passthrough entities, holding companies in diverse industries including real estate, oil and gas, land with mineral and air rights, and multifamily real estate. Serves as board member, director, or manager during business transitions.

Family Enterprise Fiduciary

Maverick Enterprises, Inc.

Maverick is a private equity owned, vertically integrated secondary closure manufacturing company that purchased raw materials in Italy. As CFO I lead the organization in projects that disrupted family culture practices. Removed technology risk by upgrading operational systems that had security and data corruption vulnerabilities.

Lixit Corporation

Lixit is an employee-owned manufacturing and component assembly company that produces products in China and Taiwan, to assemble components in the U.S. Products focused on small animal watering and feeding devices sold to WalMart.  Target and other large retailers. Led financing/liquidity projects enabling future business growth. Merged two product lines into the business and improvedNproduct diversification.

•	Prepare monthly financial statements, annual reviewed statement and annual tax filings
•	Oversee all activities of corporate accounting, including the month-end close process, financial reporting, AP, AR, 
 payroll, 401K, FSA and cash management
•	Establish and maintain corporate accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure conformance with
 US GAAP and other laws/regulations
•	Manage external auditors and ensure completeness of all documentation required for annual audits 
•	Implement accounting system upgrades, policies, procedures and processes
•	Serve as the key technical accounting resource for the company
•	Ensure complete and accurate tax compliance and tax accounting
•	Ensure accounting systems and processes are continually streamlined via process improvement to achieve greater
 efficiencies and accuracy in the level and timeliness of reporting (continuous improvements)
•	Manage insurance policies

CFO/Controller

US Trust

•	Maintained accounts within regulatory banking requirements by completing activities such as timely reviews of cash reserves, accurate basis information, projection of changes with account values and client relationships
•	Prepared clients personal financial statements
•	Responsible for the professional administration of fiduciary accounts including compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures 
•	Proactively engaged in understanding each client’s unique circumstances, including knowing the client’s extended family and younger generation, to develop and deliver appropriate solutions.
•	Possesses technical fiduciary knowledge in the areas of law, tax, fiduciary investing, regulatory compliance and estate planning
•	Responsible as the key associate on specific relationships, collaborating with teammates to deliver US Trust’s full array of integrated solutions including investment management, credit, and wealth structuring
•	Actively participates in the sales process to grow our fiduciary business by promoting the full breadth of our fiduciary platform (fiduciary, tax, special assets, estate settlement) both internally and externally

Trust Relationship Officer

•	Accountable for administering probate estates and decedent’s trusts throughout the West Central Florida Market for both Bank of America and Merrill Lynch clients
•	Successfully coordinated with internal partners (Tax, Compliance, Real Estate, etc.) and external client advisors (Attorneys and CPAs), to ensure accurate, timely and efficient administration and reporting, while minimizing risk exposure
•	Functioned as the decision point for all substantive questions and issues arising within the estate, including tax election, use of tax reserves, disposition, valuation and collection of assets, raising of cash, resolution of liabilities, audits and litigation; implementing decedents’ wishes based on their Will, Trusts and state laws
•	Enabled preparation of tax returns by assembling and organizing assets, arranging for valuation, qualifying expenses and securing and reviewing financial records 
•	Responsible for increasing estate revenue by developing and maintaining referral relationships with external business partners as well as internal business lines
•	Managed and trained support staff in estate administration and utilization of paperless system to improve efficiency and effectiveness of estate administration

VP Estate Settlement II

Kerkering Barberio

•	Prepared GAAP financial statements, state and federal individual income tax returns, estate tax returns, trust tax returns, gift tax returns, federal & state estimated tax payment form, and Form 990 for tax exempt organizations 
•	Completed 401K and ESOP audits per GAAP requirements
•	Provided tax planning & research services for individual and fiduciary tax matters, and assisted in trust and estate administration matters, working directly with clients, attorneys and investment professionals
•	Prepared annual fiduciary accountings including investments, expenses

In Charge Accountant

I am a career fiduciary (Executor/Trustee) and trusted advisor working with closely held businesses, private equity middle market companies, with a track record of improving liquidity, preparing for merger and acquisition events.  I have served majority interest closely held companies, owned by Trusts and/or Estates, as Shareholder, Member Manager, Director, Executive Officer or Board Member.   I have supported transitions of family owned businesses between generations, windup, dissolution and ownership transition.
