Senior iOS Developer

Conceptualized, designed, and implemented my own iOS application tailored especially for responsible partygoers. The application seamlessly facilitates the logging and tracking of alcohol consumption, offering real-time permille measurements and accurate sober countdowns. Utilized a cutting-edge tech stack, incorporating SwiftUI, Combine, UIKit, MVVM-C architecture, CoreData, and implemented rigorous testing. Integrated Firebase analytics for comprehensive data insights. This project transcends typical development roles presented in previous projects, as I assume the responsibilities of a product owner, designer, and tester, overseeing every facet of the app's evolution. The app will be available in the AppStore shortly - when it happens I aim to transition into the role of a marketing manager to propel the project into the mainstream market :)

Tapptic

At Tapptic, I had the opportunity to work on two exciting projects as an iOS developer. The first of them was a TV on-demand and streaming platform for one of the largest telecoms in France. The second one was an app for learning French. Both projects were written in Swift and with use of MVP pattern. First project was developed partially in SwiftUI while the second one used RxSwift a lot. Both of them were developed in rather small teams consisting of two developers per platform, two testers and one project manager (designs were provided from outside). We worked in 2 week sprints and with use of Azure DevOps - the process was really agile. The experience I gained here allowed me to become a better developer,
not only in terms of technical skills, but above all in terms of soft skills - making arrangements with people in the team, helping each other, arranging work so that there were no stoppages and no one was blocked, conversations with the client, also these harder ones, when, for example, they wanted to impose something extra on us but within the same budget.

Onwelo

Along with a team of talented iOS developers I worked on creating a casino app for one of the largest bookmakers in the world.
Among others, I was responsible for building a Swift package which when added to the application served as a layer between the mobile backend and the app - in line with the BFF pattern.
During my time here, I also took part in a dependency manager migration from CocoaPods and Carthage into SPM - I had not expected how much it would speed up our daily work - now I would recommend it to everyone.
Furthermore, I played a little bit with Gitlab CI and fastlane as some of my tasks were CI related. One that clearly comes to my mind was related to triggering a pipeline from another pipeline. Long story short, our app consisted of the core and numerous packages that we developed separately from the core. Thus there was a need to check if changes to one of the packages did not break anything in the core that used it. I was asked to find a solution to this problem and I did so by discovering downstream pipelines which perfectly matched our needs. Thanks to this method we could run the first pipeline with tests for the package we wanted to modify, which consequently triggered the second pipeline that run tests for the core part. It ensured us that everything was working smoothly.
On the top of that, I had the chance to spent some time with on-demand resources. As there were a lot of games in our app we had to come up with a solution to minimize its size and time of download. Hence, instead of building in all the games into the app, we decided to provide users with a bare app containing only empty game placeholders. When a given user was interested in playing a specific game, once selected, it was downloaded for him automatically.
Finally, working for this client taught me how a good code review should be carried out and that scrum does actually have a sense.

IHS Markit

Developed Connect app for iOS and Android which is used to display information provided by IHS Markit to its customers. The link to the app can be found on
the right side. On the top of many smaller tasks and bug fixes I was responsible for, I implemented darkmode for the whole app and added feedback functionality. Technologies and development areas used: Swift, Rx, MVVM, Swinject, SnapKit, Alamofire, Unit testing in Quick and Nimble, Xcode, Github, Azure DevOps, Team City, Charles Proxy, Kotlin, Android Studio, Dagger and Mockito.
Cooperated with other teams to create ExpertConnect web app from scratch. The app consists of many microservices - our team team was tasked with implementing a web service responsible for creating and managing tickets in Azure DevOps. Technologies and development areas used in the project: .NET Core, StructureMap, NUnit, Moq, Fluent Validation, Fluent Assertions, Swagger, Azure DevOps, Rider, NuGet, Docker, Kubernetes, Octopus Deploy, Microsoft Power Automate and Postman.
Worked with other web apps / web services - e.g. backend for the Connect mobile app and backend for the Connect web app. Technologies / areas used: .NET Framework, Visual Studio, ReSharper, Virtualization, IIS, Octopus Deploy.

Created high quality mobile games. Developed Talking Tom Candy Run for both iOS and Android, among others, which is very successful game having now over 30 million downloads (check out in the link on the right). I really appreciated the multicultural working environment offered by the company. I got to learn more about other cultures and improve my English given that it was the main language used across the firm. I have also deepened my knowledge on Scrum as it was the leading methodology used within the company.

Developed several games and apps mostly in Unity3D. However, at times Xcode and Android Studio were utilised too. The company dealt with producing interactive apps delivered mostly to museums as the customers. My most interesting task involved creating a couple of short apps which were shown on 2017 Expo in Astana.

In the future, most preferably I would like to work in the fintech industry, in particular in Blockchain / Web3 technology. You can see me not only as a technically meticulous person, especially when handling unit tests, reading requirements in user stories or refactoring, but also as an individual who pays a great deal of attention to the artistic side of an app: its design, animations and UX.
