Founded in 2000 by Swedish entrepreneur Willard Ahdritz, Kobalt took a bet on digital music and won.  The startup built a platform to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and transparency across the billions of micro-payments collected in today’s highly complex digital world. As traditional music companies fought technology and contracted, Kobalt embraced it and grew, building a global digital music infrastructure and world-class creative team purposely designed to usher in the streaming era and a more fair, rewarding music business for creators.

Working as the lead Product Manager with the team managing the back-end services for the checkout and post purchase experience, including but not limited to: payment integration (Stripe), delivery method management, fraud, returns and private shopping sales, as well as seamless integration with our ERP.

Some notable initiatives included: 
- Implementing new payment methods.
- A new returns portal, enabling customers to have choice, visibility and convenience when returning.
- Empowering the private shopping team to capture sales seamlessly.
- Optimising delivery management solutions and implementing final mile partners.

Distinct focus on preparing H&B processes and systems to be Brexit-ready, enabling a capability to capture, store and generate a view of all required product documentation needed for export across our complex product structure.

Continued to build and maintain a roadmap for in-house products, working with our distributed teams to execute.

This was a Product Owner role on steroids! I led the development of an internal start up with the objective of building a platform where a customer can purchase a car online. This included daily management of a backlog (Agile Scrum & Kanban), product roadmap and a team of 10 engineers, QA and UXi. The platform represented all of the brands under the Sytner umbrella, including BMW, Ferrari and Aston Martin.

I spent a majority of this role seconded in New York, covering a number of clients in Toronto, New York and Minnesota. I often miss the pizza there.
