I’m going to be 43 this year and honestly…sometimes I feel like I have no f**king idea what I’m doing.

And on the days where I feel a bit confused or lost, I do these key things…

➡️ I remind myself that most people are in the same boat. Just trying to figure it out. So girl…it's OK that sometimes you are too.

➡️ I pick up my journal and start writing. Journaling has become one of my most powerful tools to identify the truth of my internal feelings. I allow myself to let the thoughts (good and bad) come out into the world, and this often releases so many of my blockers.

➡️ I ask for help from the universe and my ancestors. I know deeply that there are divine beings that I can get support from if I just ask.

➡️ I seek out help from my community. I’ve learned not to shut myself off from the guidance of those around me. Everyone wants to help in the ways they can, so I lean on it, especially in the moments I feel lost.

➡️ I give myself a break. It likely sounds hella counterintuitive to stop when you feel lost. We often think that the more we work or do, the more ideas will flow. But it is often in the peace and quiet that the mind is allowed to expand and explore.

We are not supposed to know every step every day. In fact, to me, that sounds like a pretty mundane life. So never look at the moments of confusion as a pitfall but a blessing. This is just a signal to explore, go deeper with yourself, and lean on the support of others.

Your lost can easily be your found if you embrace it as part of your journey. 

Remember, every moment of uncertainty is an invitation to rediscover who you are and what you truly desire. So rise up, trust in your process, and let your journey illuminate your path forward. You are not just wandering…

The greatest lesson I've learned in my life came after my divorce…

That true love starts with self-love.

And that I couldn’t find my real counterpart until I truly knew who I was and learned to fully embrace that person. 

My greatest reinvention wasn't about titles or careers—it was about becoming a strong, capable, and loving woman on my own terms. Not believing that partnership would make me whole. But knowing that me…the awesome me…was a whole DOPE AF woman. 

Partnership, to me, now means having someone who loves the woman I am today.

The woman who knows who she is. Where she's going.

Who is truly happy with her life and in all facets of it. 

Who feels fulfilled empowering women, and a sense of joy and happiness each day when I wake up just because I am me. And I love me. 

The greatest love is the love that you give to yourself. And knowing that you always come first.

This week changed me forever.

I didn’t expect it. I didn’t plan for it. But life has a way of forcing you to face what you need to heal.

A few days ago, I had a powerful session with a healer. And in that space, I came face to face with a version of myself from exactly 10 years ago.

She was broken.
She was exhausted.
She was surviving, not living.

She was waking up every morning to go to a toxic job that didn’t give a damn about her well-being. She was in the middle of a divorce, grieving a life that no longer fit. And she took it all—because that’s what you do, right?

You take it.
You keep pushing.
You tell yourself this is just life.

Standing in front of that version of me, I had to admit something painful—I didn’t care about myself enough back then to do it differently.

That truth hit me hard.

But here’s the thing. I’m not her anymore.

The woman I am today? 
❤️ She loves herself too much to ever go back.
❤️ She knows her worth.
❤️ She sets the boundaries.
❤️ She listens to her intuition.
❤️ She takes up space without apologizing.

And she’s only getting better.

So let this be a message to anyone in the thick of it right now—you won’t stay here forever. The pain, the burnout, the version of you that’s just getting by—it’s temporary.

But choosing yourself? That’s permanent.

And let me tell you right now—I choose me. I choose love, power, courage, and reinvention.

So look out world.

I'm about to reveal the #1 reason you aren't living the life you want. It's all about your DEFAULT setting.

What are "default settings"? 

They're your AUTOPILOT thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and responses. And if they're not rooted in confidence, empowerment, and a healed perspective, you're likely stuck in a negative loop.

Let's get real for a sec:
You need to audit these defaults to see if they're really serving you. Are they playing out the life story you want to live, or just the easiest one?

Here’s a simple way to start changing your defaults:

✅ Reflect: Ask yourself, "Are my go-to responses lifting me up or holding me back?" Consider whether your automatic reactions are helping you progress or just keeping you stuck.

✅ Align: Check if your default thoughts and behaviors match the person you're striving to become. "Do these habits support my goals?"

✅ Adjust: Determine what new defaults you need to develop. "What habits can I create that will empower me and lead me to the life I want?"

It's time to update your settings to those that resonate with who you truly are and where you're headed. Change your defaults to EMPOWERED mode, and watch as your life transforms.

This week taught me something about myself that I’ll carry forever.
Let me set the stage: At the start of the week, I was feeling lost. Confused. 

Maybe you’ve been there too—or maybe you’re feeling that way right now.

So, I made a decision. Each day this week, I would do something that amazed me. Something to push me outside my comfort zone in search of clarity—a next step, an "A-HA, I've got it" moment.

But instead of clarity, I found something even more beautiful.

I realized something about myself that brought me to tears:
I will always try.
I will always give everything I do my all.
And no matter what, I will always make it to the finish line.

Sometimes, I’ll cross that line with a big smile on my face, glowing with satisfaction and success.

Other times, I’ll be crawling, crying, and screaming my way there.

But I’ll always get there.

The truth is, the paths to our deepest desires aren’t always straight or clear.
Sometimes they are rocky AF and demand every ounce of strength we have.

But here’s what I know for sure: As long as you remember how strong, resilient, and powerful you are, you’ll always make it too.

So today—whether you’re walking on a sunny path or clawing your way through a dark one—remember who you are and what you’re capable of.

You already have everything within you to create the life you desire.

Today, I had the honor of speaking at the University of La Verne's Women's Career Conference. 

It was incredibly moving to share my career journey – a journey that began with feeling I had to 'play it small' but ultimately led to finding the courage to stand out.

What resonated most with me was being in a room where women were actively asking for what they needed, supporting one another, and creating authentic connections.

A huge thank you to Dr. Melissa Moss for inviting me to be a part of this empowering event. It was an honor to share this space with you and the amazing women of La Verne.

And this time, it’s not just for the sunshine or the vibes—it’s to deliver a keynote that’s been brewing in my soul for years: "The Courage to Stand Out: Embracing Vulnerability, Community, and Your Authentic Power."

When I was asked to do this, my immediate reaction was, "Hell yeah, you right!" 

Because let me tell you, early in my career, I didn’t have the courage to stand out. I played it small, thinking being the only Latina in every room was a disadvantage. 

But now? 
I know it’s not just my greatest asset—it’s my freaking superpower. 

This keynote is my heart on a stage, and I’m ready to give it my all.

"Fake it till you make it" - We’ve all heard this advice. But let’s set the record straight: it’s a flawed mantra. 

Why? Because when we step towards becoming our most confident and courageous self, we’re not faking anything. 

We’re BECOMING. 

If you’re out here speaking up. Living life on your terms. Claiming what you want and deserve and telling yourself you are “FAKING” it then here is what’s happening…

You simply aren’t giving yourself credit for shooting your shot. 

When we take steps toward becoming the person we aim to be we aren’t pretending to do a damn thing. We are aligning our beliefs, thoughts, and actions with your goals, intentions, and desires. 

So stop telling yourself you are faking it. 

And start telling yourself YOU ARE BECOMING IT.

Being a business owner is tough. And in fact, there were many times I wanted to quit.

To just stop…

But instead of quitting, I continued to try and always pushed myself, even in those moments where I thought I couldn’t try another thing.

Until one day, I realized something astonishing.

I left my 9-to-5 to escape the toxicity of hustle corporate culture that broke my spirit. Yet, here I was, running a business that wasn't any different.

That realization was a game-changer.

And it brought me to the biggest commitment I’ve ever made in my life:

I WILL create a life that dictates my business. Not a business that dictates my life.

And to make that happen, I’ve decided that I am creating the life of my dreams. One filled with freedom, creativity, fun, and time to enjoy the things that matter most: Family. Friends. My pup Cody. And, of course, the beach.

Now, I'm not just chasing success; I'm living it—on my terms.

I've said some terrible things to myself including 👇🏾
➡️ I’m too flawed to be loved.

But I've come to realize that the internal voice screaming this BS is a total LIAR. 

And these negative thoughts definitely don't serve me or you. They paralyze potential and suffocate self-worth.

My mom gave me the most transformative advice recently, and it stopped me dead in my tracks. 

As part of a personal development exercise, I called someone who loves me deeply to ask, "What is a blind spot that I have that you think I should not just know about but transform?"

And when I asked my mom this question I was unprepared for her response. 

She told me she truly admired my relentless pursuit of growth and the way I always sought opportunities to elevate myself. But then she pointed out that in my constant quest to be better, I rarely take the time to celebrate my achievements...at all! 

This wasn't just interesting; it was a stark, honest reflection that hit hard.

In my drive to improve, I had overlooked the essential act of acknowledging and celebrating my victories. This realization was profound. And I bet I’m not the only one who does this.

Although I may not have been the best at self-care in the past cause your girl was a non-stop hustler I embrace it now. And in fact...I FREAKING LOVE IT. 

Here are some of my favorite self-care practices:
🐶 Walking on the beach with Cody: Nothing beats the sound of waves and the sand between my toes.
💪🏾 Killer CrossFit Workouts: The best kind of therapy happens when I’m pushing my limits.
📖 Reading Mindful and Spiritual Books: Feeding my soul one page at a time.
📔 Journaling: It’s my private retreat for thoughts, dreams, and introspection.
🍸 Cocktails with My Dope Friends: We chat about goals, life, and everything in between.
🍿 Movie Dates with Myself: Because I deserve that uninterrupted me-time.
