I am proud of my upbringing in regional Australia, it taught me many things…the value of hard work; to always be ready to lend a hand; to be grateful for the opportunities that life brought me and those I made myself; to ‘see’ the person first and treat others with respect, to be my own leader, and to do what I say I’m going to do. I’m grateful those early lessons have stayed with me from humble beginnings to working on multi-million dollar projects for Rio Tinto, Super Retail Group, Suncorp, and now Stahmann Webster. Over the past 20 years I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some of the globes most strategic thinkers. I have worked on projects which established international supply chains for explosives, rolled out corporate credit card programs and most recently was an SME for a transformational project relating to the insurance building supply chain. No matter the size of the project though, it all comes back to providing great solutions for customers, something that continually motivates me. Today, I love what I do, every day presents a new opportunity to address modern day slavery in the supply chain, improve environmental, social and governance standards or to support the community where our customers live. No matter what position you are in, my view is that we all have a role to play in social responsibility. Over recent years I have become known for my stakeholder management skills, astute commercial acumen, succinct verbal communication style and calming influence in a negotiation. I have an eye for identifying opportunity, highlighting risk and thinking long term. When I’m not negotiating, solving supply chain problems and serving our customers I enjoy time with my wife and kids around the pool.
