As the Data Analyst for the HSA I focus on PowerBI development and reporting, maintenance and administration of SQL Servers, development of PowerApps and Power Automate Flows.

Data Analyst

I worked at C3, a telecoms company providing pure fibre solutions to people in the Cayman Islands.

In my role as a Database Analyst, I setup a reporting database structure using SSRS and PowerBI that integrated data from the telecoms database, the CRM, and the ticketing system. This reduced the time for generating reports significantly.

I moved all the old Crystal Reports over to SSRS and PowerBI to better distribute the information to management.

I setup a Geographic Information System (GIS) to map the exact location of the companies’ customers. This helped reduce the time staff are travelling to and from customers premises.

Database Analyst

Pinnacle Media Ltd, formerly Cayman Free Press

I worked as a Web Developer at Pinnacle Media which publishes The Cayman Compass newspaper as well as a range of magazines within the Cayman Islands.

In my role I:

-Moved 100,000 articles from the old Cayman Compass Ektron CRM to the new Cayman Compass WordPress website using a custom-built C# application created in Visual Studio.

-Built a C# application using EF5 and MSSQL in Visual Studio to tag 50,000 images using an external API. This allowed reporters to easily source pictures for stories.

-Developed and maintained plugins for the Cayman Compass newspaper and magazine websites using Bootstrap, CSS3 and HTML.

-Converted old Crystal Reports files into PowerBI to better aid their distribution among management.

I worked as a Web Developer at The National Geographic Information Systems of the Cayman Islands Government.

In my role I:

-Developed the mobile friendly front end of the DotNetNuke7 website using HTML5 and JQuery
-Extended the existing reports generates for clients by Crystal Reports 2013.
-Developed synchronization software using Visual Studio 2013 and MSSQL 2012 to keep live website and internal database in harmony.

I am a data analyst coming from a web development background. There is nothing I take more pride in than helping extract knowledge and information from large databases with the aim of helping companies and individuals.
