CNN Newsource

Broadcast:
• Collaborated in coverage planning for more than 1000 CNN Newsource affiliates.
• Pitched story ideas for news packages and worked with PR agencies for story leads.
• Produced and wrote broadcast packages for consumption by broadcast (and digital) affiliates.
• Played a vital role in newsroom logistics during breaking news, including getting reporters, producers, and photographers onto planes, procuring rental vehicles, and hotel rooms.
• Wrote “blurbs” daily (compelling and tightly-written three to four-sentence descriptions of Newsource packages and reporter live shots) to give affiliates an accurate idea of our offerings. 
• Live shot produced for both CNN Newsource and CNN network crews in the field, keeping track of the reporter's live shot schedule and helping the talent put together strong live and accurate intros, tags, and packages, also served as a troubleshooting go-between for the main Atlanta newsdesk and the satellite truck engineer.
• Conducted interviews, oversaw b-roll shoots, and produced reporter packages in the field for CNN Newsource and the CNN Network.
• Played a central organizer role for affiliates using Newsource transmission at significant events such as the 2016 Democratic National Convention. 
• Worked with affiliate crews to get them their desired satellite windows, assisted with their credentialing process, and dialed IFBs and tested signals.

Social Media:
• Provided affiliates with constant and timely tweets on the Newsource account advertising streamed live events or reporter live shot offerings. 
• Produced and edited GIFS advertising Newsource offerings for delivery via Twitter.
• Authored a daily note of key Newsource offerings delivered via MailChimp marketing campaign.

Other Digital:
• Produced, wrote, and occasionally edited digital shorts for affiliate websites.
• Distributed CNN text stories and accompanying images for CNN Wire subscribers.
• Shot still images for use by network or CNN Wire Subscribers.
