design ✏️ + public good 🏛 + indie maker 🖥 + mindfulness ⛩ Summary – • 10 years of design innovation in gov & non-profits, with clients like SG Enable, CDAC, Govtech, WSG, NEA, LTA, MOM, NCSS, MND, PA, PSD, NHGP, STB. • Coached public officers in Singapore and also Malaysia, Indonesia and Bhutan. • Adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic. • Self-taught web developer since 2018, launched multiple digital products. • Created 11 digital tools for social good during COVID - won the IT Leader Awards 2021. Long version – I'm at a stage when I feel called to build my own career pathway at the intersection of public/social good, startups and design. The first step I took was to set up Outsprint (https://outsprint.io), a public innovation design consultancy for governments and social impact non-profits. Beyond consultancy, I aspire to eventually create products and services for public good. I find myself here at this intersection after years in both the social impact and public sector. I spent 3 years at the National Council of Social Service working in local communities to foster collaboration between people, public and private sector stakeholders. After a year's hiatus as a self-taught web designer, I entered public service as a Design Lead in The Human Experience Lab, Prime Minister's Office. THE Lab was a ragtag startup team of designers tasked to bring the citizen's perspective into public policy across the entire government. I bring an insider's perspective and a grasp of the hard choices required in public policy projects. I'm deeply passionate about creating social impact in my work, blending entrepreneurial resourcefulness, empathy and creative confidence to make that happen. This is what I do best and love most.
