Intro to SaaS Industry, selling a predictive dialer for outbound sales outreach/cold prospecting.

I had the privilege of learning from a seasoned professional in this small yet tight-knit industry how to launch campaigns, track metrics to determine winning campaigns using Facebook Ad Manager and Google Analytics, create targeted ads for different geographies, for a wide variety of verticals.

My duties included copy writing, launching campaigns on strict geo-sensitive timelines (Asia launch would be around 2-3am local time, for example), monitoring all data regarding CPC, conversions, impressions, ad score to determine profitable campaigns and then quickly scale to take advantage of momentum. All ads were all exclusively purchased through Facebook, and were externally linked to our custom lander pages, differing in what geography was targeted.

We've run successful campaigns with anywhere from 150% to 400% normal ROI in short time-intervals, with the best campaign hitting a record 1000% ROI.

I still continue my own company, Mixx Media Group, as a side-gig business but have not been current with the industry for a few years.

Media Buyer

Kirmac Automotive Collision Systems

Given the opportunity to become a junior estimator within a year of joining the company. Proceeded to progress with learning to estimate at a $2,500 limitation (glass break-ins, bumper only collisions and vandalism claims). Managing on average 3-5 vehicles at a time, during all repair phases (estimating/approval, part procurement, production scheduling, QA, detail and delivery) knowing where each vehicle was in a large multi-bay shop (4 body tech, full prep team and 2 painters). 

Continued to learn and practice managerial skills by placing expected timelines on tasks assigned, spot checking progress, encouraging production staff to advise when imperfections or problems are found during the work phase and delegating smaller tasks to subordinates.

Within 4 months, placed in a keyholder position (opening/closing), being the acting manager/estimator on Saturday responsible for all intake, deliveries, and escalated customer concerns. Supervised two subordinates these days to ensure prompt and courteous service for all customers.

Learned all aspects of industry including repair procedures (body and paint), insurance standards, parts procurement and troubleshooting supply issues, up-selling additional repairs/services, and customer satisfaction techniques.

Junior Estimator / Keyholder

Beginning as an entry level CSR, quickly demonstrating my ability to learn and absorb information quickly. Within one year, I was a senior CSR and the highest paid in the company, creating a new level for CSRs to achieve.

Responsible for training new hires, directing junior colleagues on daily focus areas, advising on all policies and procedures, acting in an assistant management role when required (conflict de-escalation, managerial decisions), AR inquiries, insurance company & vendor requests, customer care, inbound phone queries, managing service levels via KPI reports, assisting with positive changes to our NPS surveys, minor IT troubleshooting and maintenance as required with instruction from IT Dept.

Owner/operator of an electronic cigarette store in the Lower Mainland, being the first specialized brick and mortar store in the City of Burnaby, before the rush.

B2C: The second storefront to ever open up an electronic cigarette retail store in the Lower Mainland, operating a store that had no previous client base or marketing plans. Broke even on all investments after 8 months in business and pulled in half a million dollars in revenue in the first year of operations. Always received high praise and comments from customers for our commitment to quality customer service.

B2B: Worked with a Chinese manufacturing company as a consultant to Canadian industry by attending various trade shows/exhibitions (CES 2015, CanVape, local), marketing activities such as creating print media (brochures, box layouts, business cards and other promotional items), website creation and maintenance using Joomla and Shopify. Worked as an Account Manager with numerous wholesale companies, utilizing Salesforce to follow up warm leads to sell to prospective buyers.

Industry: Avid speaker and presenter on behalf of the electronic cigarette industry (ECTA), appearing in person at city council hearings, local radio programs and numerous television spots to provide a voice for the local market.
