So much color, warmth, and love at work yesterday. Huge thanks to my lovely colleagues and friends for the flowers and gifts. They truly made my day extra special! 🌸

If there’s one piece of advice I could give to all managers out there, it’s this: take your leaves.

Yes, I know. There’s always too much work. There’s always that one project that “can’t wait.” And of course, the classic “agar main off leloon toh team kaam kaise karegi?”

But here’s the thing: your team learns balance from you.

If you never take a break, they start believing rest is a luxury, not a necessity.

A little planning goes a long way.
If you plan your leaves even 2 months ahead, everything can be managed. Work won’t stop. The world won’t fall apart. But you’ll come back lighter, calmer, and more focused.

So yes, take that break. Breathe. Disconnect.

You’ll thank yourself, and your team will thank you too. 🌿

Coffee culture is honestly taking over, and I’m not complaining. 

Somehow, a good cup of coffee just makes everything at work better.. conversations, ideas, even Mondays.

It got me thinking, how about cafés start collaborating with companies and set up their small carts right inside workplaces? Imagine having your favorite brew without leaving the office.

What do you think? Should coffee cafés start this trend? Which one would you want at your workplace?

Last night, around 1 a.m., my sister said,
“Jona, I think I’m not doing enough.”

And I just smiled, thinking how easily we forget to see ourselves the way the world sees us. It felt strange hearing that from her.

She’s completing her studies, running her own small business Qanara, doing great in her career, and most importantly became independent at just 18.

Yet she still feels she’s not doing enough.
Maybe that’s just how we are, always focusing on what’s left to do instead of what we’ve already done.

But sometimes, you really need to pause and remind yourself that you’re doing okay.

To my sister Hadia Shaikh, you’ve done more than enough.
And I’m genuinely proud of the woman you’re becoming. 💗

Over the years, I’ve realized one simple truth: ideas are easy, execution is everything.

You can have the most brilliant vision, but unless it’s backed by a solid plan, consistent effort, and a mindset that refuses to give up, it’s just a thought floating in the air.

I’ve seen dreams take shape only when people dare to do the work, when late-night brainstorming turns into structured planning, and plans slowly start reflecting in real numbers, results, and impact.

So here’s a reminder: your vision doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be acted upon. Start small, stay consistent, and keep building until it turns into something real.

The formula for effective leadership is simple but powerful. You need the Vision to plot the course, the Resilience to handle the bumps, and the ability to Communicate and Empower your people every step of the way. Lead from the front, but also from the heart! 🙌

Tbh, I don’t mind the whole profile review culture that’s been trending for a while. But if you really want to write about someone, how about actually having a quick chat or call with them first?

Get to know their story, their success, their achievements, and what they’ve done for the industry. Even ask if they’re comfortable with their picture being used.

What’s the point of writing about someone based on assumptions or your own perception when it could be their words, their voice, and their journey instead?

If the intention is to genuinely appreciate someone, make sure the story reflects who they truly are; not just how you see them.

I’ve always believed in one economics rule: there’s no such thing as a free lunch.

Nothing in life is truly free. Every opportunity, favor, connection, or shortcut comes with a cost; sometimes in effort, sometimes in time, sometimes in peace.

You might not pay in cash, but you’ll always pay in some currency.

So the next time something looks “free,” ask yourself what it’s really costing you. Because more often than not, the hidden price is heavier than the visible one.
