Nature provided play, rest, awe, and endless exploration from the beginning, supporting me even when others couldn't. I'll come back to this. In my career, I began as a Software Engineer, merging a Geography passion with Computer Science to work on aviation navigation products. I developed embedded systems, designed UIs, and extensively tested for safety and functionality. Seeking more interaction and variety, I transitioned to Solution Engineering where I leveraged my technical expertise to design solutions using SaaS products and guide prospects through the sales process. This process begins with a deep understanding of critical business issues and results in the creation of differentiated solutions that effectively address these challenges. Emphasizing the solution value throughout. This role has been a natural fit as evidenced from the regular awards (both core value and achievement based), promotions (graduating to support bigger, more strategic scenarios), trust in key roles to scale start-ups, record setting deals, and the closure of 10s of millions of business ($, £, €). It has allowed me to work with lots of people since it’s a hub between the customer and the business where I’ve learned about and collaborated with stakeholders at all levels (C-Level to entry level) and many business units (both internally and externally). The role has also presented me with lots of variety, exploration, and growth. Sitting at such a confluence has meant I’ve been able to learn a lot about how different organizations, business units, and industries view the world and the unique projects they are solving. From the Fortune 500 to the smallest startups. Guiding sales, marketing, product, customer success, partnerships, commerce, growth, and even executive leadership; it’s like I’ve worked in each of these areas. I'm grateful for the journey that's given me a balance of technical and business experience. Yet, I recognize the urgency of addressing sustainability issues, particularly those impacting nature and climate, which have enriched my life profoundly. I want to make sure as many people as possible have the ability to realize such value, so now I plan to pursue this purpose.
