Jaye's journey began in an Army family, with roots stretching from northern Minnesota to southern California, and experiences living across Georgia, Maryland (WDC), Europe, and several U.S. states before moving to Colorado, and eventually settling in Nebraska. This diverse upbringing shaped Jaye’s adaptability and global perspective, providing a solid foundation for his dynamic career. With over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, Jaye has honed his expertise across various industries, including professional event marketing, networking, business equipment sales, and consulting. His career highlights include serving as an Operations Manager in telecommunications, where he played a pivotal role in designing call center software in collaboration with engineers from BellSouth Information Systems in Atlanta. This innovative alpha-numeric dispatch (text messaging) system, built on the FOCUS 4GL platform and integrated with BellSouth Information System's ORIGIN software, became an industry-standard solution. Jaye holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Science in Administration with a Healthcare Emphasis. An honorably discharged Naval veteran, he has also been a dedicated community volunteer for over 15 years. Beyond his professional and community endeavors, Jaye is a proud single father to his son, Taylor, who lives in Denver with his wife and their three-year-old daughter. A favorite memory for Jaye is standing on the sidelines of Memorial Stadium in Lincoln on November 11, 1978, when #4 Nebraska’s Jeff Hansen stripped the ball from #1 Oklahoma’s Billy Sims, with current Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen recovering it to secure a dramatic 17-14 victory. Being close enough to the action to have nearly jumped on the fumble himself, Jaye witnessed the ecstatic crowd rush the field, tear down the goalposts, and end an eight-year drought for Nebraska in their series against Oklahoma—an iconic moment he’ll never forget.
