My Supply chain management (SCM) role meant that I was responsible for the management of the flow of goods. This included the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from place of origin to point of destination. This role meant that I had to create and maintain a high level of communication and trust between myself and clients, I had to ensure that colleagues from Origin offices had booked cargo for shipment as the client had requested, as well as contacting suppliers when origin offices could not. After cargo had left the Origin port, I would have to look out for any possible delays to vessel arrival to ensure that our systems were updated and to inform the client as there could be priority goods within the shipment.
Once vessels had arrived at the destination port I would work with the customs teams to clear goods and then arrange deliveries with the clients warehouse.
I worked proactively to ensure goods arrived at the client warehouse on time and to reduce any issues. 
I was the fire marshall for my section of the office.
This was a great job and I really enjoyed working with my colleagues and clients.

This role has had me working on various projects including loft and cavity insulation, fundrasing for Unisef and B2B sales in both telecoms and merchant terminal services. This involved generating my own leads (cold leads), expanding the customer base and maintaining relations.
The Unisef campaign was very exciting and allowed me and my team to carry out a high volume of applications on behalf of the charity based on a direct sales marketing model. The successful relationships I built with home owners enabled me to approach them for the loft and cavity insulation campaign and also generated new relationships on behalf of this campaign, increasing my sales portfolio. 
I recruited my own team who I trained and developed. This allowed me to successfully conduct interviews, and to teach my team how to successfully generate sales.
I successfully closed deals in order to meet my target.
I conducted both B2C and B2B sales depending on the particular campaign.

This position was as a Steward at the 2012 London Olympic Games. This was an amazing experience and once in a lifetime opportunity. I was based primarily at the Horse Guards Parade for the Beach Volleyball though I did also work at the Stratford Olympic Park.
It was vital that I adhered to company health and safety procedures in order to maintain a safe and pleasant atmosphere for all spectators and staff.
I was polite and courteous to all spectators to ensure they have a memorable experience.
I had to resolve problems immediately when flagged as efficiently and effectively to prevent disruptions to other spectators.
This role was dependent on liaising with team members to ensure consistency and meeting deadlines assisting spectators, arrivals’ and departures from Olympic venues. It was a truly unique experience.
