Oversees and devises social media strategies for SDSU's independent student-run news publication, ensuring consistent representation across all platforms. Creates engaging content aligned with the brand's mission to enhance user engagement, while also analyzing metrics to amplify brand visibility. Collaborates with editors and writers to creatively present stories through visual mediums.

Social Media Editor

Pitches and writes articles for The Daily Aztec's arts and culture section, offering insights on diverse subjects such as pop culture, fashion, movie reviews, student life and beyond. Captures captivating photos at cultural and music events taking place in San Diego.

Staff Writer

The Look Magazine

Hosted general board meetings for writing team, providing a platform for idea pitching and story assignments. Oversaw and edited all article submissions, including memoirs, poetry, and short stories, centered around life, culture and art. Conducted developmental edits and copyedits for each written piece. Effectively managed the team's workflow by ensuring adherence to weekly deadlines and maintained proactive communication with other section editors and writers.

VP of Writing & Copy

Published creative writing and journalistic work showcased in both online and print publications. Pitched a range of timely and relevant topics, including current and seasonal events. Collaborated closely with editors throughout the editing process.

Fourth-year journalism student with a minor in creative editing and publishing at San Diego State University. Experienced with journalistic writing, story pitching, copyediting, video editing and social media production.  

Previously held the position of vice president of writing and copy for The Look Magazine and staff writer for the arts and culture section of The Daily Aztec. Currently holds the position of social media editor for The Daily Aztec, while also holding the positions of vice president in the SDSU Society of Professional Journalists chapter and social media editor in the SDSU National Association of Hispanic Journalists chapter.
