Houston Independent School District, Multimedia Services, HISD TV

As the Supervisor of HISD-TV's PEG Channel and Multimedia Audio Visual Department, I was responsible for overseeing Cable TV Programming and Board of Education Live Broadcast operations. During my tenure, I spearheaded several initiatives that upgraded the on-air broadcast system. One of my biggest achievements was introducing and implementing live streaming of HISD productions.

I supervised the research, design, and implementation of the new studio, ENG, and master control operations. I also directed, produced, and edited HISD's instructional, educational, and informational programs. 
Additionally, I administered final department approval for all elements associated with live, studio, and remote location productions.

To ensure the highest quality of work, I conducted annual job performance evaluations for all multi-media production personnel and developed, executed, and monitored budgets for all HISD-TV and multi-media production operations. 
I also developed and formatted annual calendars for multi-productions dealing with studio and district events requiring technical resources, AV support, and logistics.

I established and supervised schedules and workflows for all producers, directors, photographers, digital editors, and AV technical staff, as well as developed and enforced quality standards for technical operations.

In my role as News Operations Manager at Univision Houston, I collaborated closely with the Engineering, Promotions, and Production departments to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of day-to-day technical aspects of news operations. This included overseeing logistics during natural disasters, managing budgets and inventory, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. To support the ongoing success of our O&O stations, I also organized Operations meetings and provided hands-on training to help them lead the way in technical news operations. Through my efforts, I was able to ensure that Univision Houston consistently maintained the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency in all aspects of our news operations.
