Attended an accelerator programme to Kickstart my startup, allowing me to meet numerous successful founders, and eventually enabled me to be accepted into Entrepreneur First.

Deep Learning Indaba

Collaborated with developers from Entellect, RetroRabbit and Google Deepmind on building Baobab, the Deep Learning Indaba's official applications and management portal.

This was my first ever open source, remote work project, and I had a ton of fun with it. It was also built on a stack that I had never used before and had a lot of fun learning, namely:
 - ReactJS
 - Python
 - Flask
 - Postgres

This was also my first exposure to containerization, we used Docker for it, and it was great learning to use it, and adding it as a tool to my toolbelt.

Was part of the innovations team, a fast-moving agile team focused on rapidly creating highly innovative prototype apps using the latest tech in an effort to bring the company to the forefront of technology. During my time in this team we created a cross-platform mobile account origination app, using AI for facial recognition, being one of the first to create a "sign up with a selfie" app.

April 2018 - February 2019
Instrumental role in supporting and developing a corporate banking system that is currently live in 2 banks, serves over 200 corporations, over 900 distinct users, with a throughput of hundreds of millions of Rands every month. Regularly deal with clients directly, and make design decisions relating to the future of the system.

I worked on this project as a full stack developer, running on the following stack:

 - Redux

 - DotNet Core 2 (C#)
 - Hangfire
 - Redis
 - SQL Server 2012

Madly passionate about building cool stuff and shaping the future to be better than today through tech. Deeply invested in the state of AI, and always thinking about the software I can build around it to help others.
