With over 13 years of experience as an e-commerce executive, I am deeply passionate about building and nurturing teams, cultivating a culture of growth, and crafting robust systems and processes to drive profitable business expansion. In 2010, I established an e-commerce division for a regional retailer headquartered in Boston. Leading the digital business strategy from inception, I took the newly created department from zero to an annual revenue exceeding 18 retail stores and all other business operations–with an average yearly growth rate of 90% (ranging from 36% to 296%). I oversaw every aspect of our e-commerce operations and digital business strategy. I created and managed every system and process and implemented and oversaw the company's tech stack, allowing us to be a true omnichannel operator. This enabled us to turn our 18 physical stores into micro fulfillment centers when COVID-19 shut them down for an extended period, resulting in the growth of all e-commerce departments' revenue and headcount. Transitioning to a sustainable footwear manufacturer, I assumed responsibility for the P&L of their e-commerce, digital marketing, and customer service divisions. I navigated the organization through a transition from private ownership to private equity ownership. As the largest e-commerce operation within the private equity portfolio, I was crucial in establishing and managing a services team, optimizing direct-to-consumer sales, and reducing operational costs across all portfolio companies. During this period, I increased digital sales at a 40-year-old business by 20%, improving ROI through campaign optimization, increasing site conversion rates, launching affiliate marketing, and leveraging existing CRM data. Before immersing myself in the digital world, I had the privilege of serving as an interpretive marine biologist and dive master at an underwater state park. I educated millions of tourists annually about the wonders of coral reefs, marine ecosystems, and the profound impacts of climate change on our oceans. Driven by a steadfast commitment to excellence and sustainability, I am poised to leverage my diverse skill set and extensive experience to address one of the most pressing challenges of our time: climate change.
