At my core, I love to connect--people, ideas, and groups. It plays out in 3 key ways, each revolving around people: Teaching: revolves around helping students quickly gain the ability to connect the concepts they learn in school with real companies. Every class--from Strategy and MBA Consulting to Entrepreneurship and Management & Leadership--integrates and applies that subject matter to student's personal lives, to their future business careers, and brings it home with an interactive application in the real world. Consulting: whether connecting clients with customers, employees and managers through culture analysis, or helping people connect the dots in their own life, I strive to help people gain the ability to see their highest and best use of time and effort to achieve their purpose. Research: began at the intersection of strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship, employing multiple methods to understand and address the challenge innovators and entrepreneurs experience as they seek to commercialize their inventions. As I've moved away from tenure-track, this branch of life has become less formalized, looking like deep dives into myriad topics to improve students, clients, and Columbia's business environment to pave the way for future, sustainable, growth.
