My story is one with many twists and turns… And it all starts with the 16-year old me dropping out of college to pursue music 🤦‍♂️ By the time I was 19, I had gold teeth and was selling large quantities of various drugs. I got arrested in an undercover drug bust... Phones tapped, ski masks, bulletproof vests, & money flying through the air. It was very much like a scene out of a movie... Fast forward to 23, and I had been arrested across the East Coast of the US and had multiple felony convictions 🫣 Ultimately, I was lost in the darkness I had surrounded myself with... Then I had some realizations. I decided that if I wanted to change things... I'd have to change myself first. So, began pursuing something greater. It started by taking a job at Wendy's making $285 per week 🥳 That one decision changed my life forever… It created a ton of momentum in my life and within 2 years I was running a commercial construction division (6, 8, and 10). I found a rhythm and began to build a new identity. Then, I returned to college. I finished top 2% of my class graduating Summa Cum Laude with a double major in International Relations and Communication Studies with a Specialization in Org Comm and Leadership. I served as the President of the Alumni Advisory Board, representing over 300,000 Alumni. And as a Board Member at the college's Foundation helping to steward a $150M endowment. Along that journey, I cofounded a sales training and development company that we grew to over $1.5M and it was an incredible success. Inside of that success though, I struggled. Over 5 years I found myself in a place where I felt stuck and unable to change anything about it... So I responded accordingly. I made huge mistakes. And in those mistakes, some light began to shine through. I started questioning what I believed about myself and about others. I questioned what I believed about my skills and my business. I questioned was I believed about my past... And in that, I came to understand that our beliefs govern our lives in ways we can't imagine. That behaviors are tethered to beliefs. And that outcomes are a result of behaviors. This changed everything for me! I began to build a model based on beliefs and how they affect us, both knowingly and unknowingly. I developed the relationship between Strategy and Operations… Then tied it all back to business success.
