I’m thrilled to join Northern Arizona University’s College of Engineering, Informatics, and Applied Sciences as the Business & Education Partnership Manager. In this role, I’m working closely with industry partners across Arizona to develop targeted training programs for both companies and entry-level tech workers. Our department recently received a substantial grant from the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) to enhance workforce development initiatives, particularly in the fields of chip manufacturing and medical devices.

My primary focus is on building strong partnerships with industry leaders, identifying gaps in their workforce needs, and crafting training solutions that bridge those gaps. I’m also responsible for marketing our initiatives and raising awareness about the workforce opportunities we offer.

With a solid background in workforce development with my many years as a leader in business incubation, I’m excited to contribute to NAU’s mission of driving job creation, aligning curricula with job requirements that graduates will need for the future and supporting Arizona’s growing industries.

As the Director of Career and Life Design, I help students and alumni bridge the gap between their academic accomplishments and success in the workplace. Through guidance and mentorship, I teach the fundamentals of building and marketing their personal brands, so they can be successful in an ever-evolving workforce. 

I develop and implement campus-wide initiatives that create an atmosphere of career consciousness and provide actionable steps that allow students to implement their education in their careers. In addition, I develop strategic partnerships with the local, national, and global employer community to bring students and employers together. 

I am known for my out of the box techniques and rising above the status quo. I see the Career and Life Design Center as an agent of the student, providing opportunities for them to showcase their talents in a professional manner. 

My highest priority initiatives include:

Maintain a primary focus of providing excellent services for students and alumni
Develop a formal community-based internship program that will allow students to shadow working professionals in the workplace. 
Secure grant funding that will allow us to implement engaging resume/cover letter writing workshops for students that will attract well over 500 students by the second year.
Institute LinkedIn profile requirements for all students beginning in their first year of school.
Promote the use of Handshake, an online tool that brings employers and graduates together on a career matching platform.

As the Director of Marketing both domestically and internationally, I set the overall inbound marketing strategy for Valutek.  I develop all the campaigns to drive high conversion rates and high profitable sales both online and through our outbound call center of technical sales people.  
I lead the competitive intelligence initiatives to ensure Valutek as a company stays relevant, forward thinking and always offering the right products to the right market, creating competitive marketing strategies and identifying gaps and opportunities among our competitors. 
 
I lead an international distributive work force with the use of several project management and communication tools such as Ryver, Wunderlist, Basecamp, Microsoft Teams and Office 365.

	I set the overall real-time reporting / dashboards / data visualization strategy with the use of Microsoft PowerBI (coming online now), Google Analytics, Tableau Desktop, Smart Sheet and Microsoft Excel. CEI, the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation, is a community-based facility based at GateWay Community College. With funding from the US Economic Development Agency, City of Phoenix and Maricopa Community College District, CEI provides targeted business services and proactive business support to create a systematic link between:

The 18,000 square foot facility, located in the Discovery Triangle and part of the GateWay Community College campus, is a mixed-use/non-retail business incubator. Market segments focused on include:

As the Founder of a specialized internet marketing and content management systems company, I am responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the organization. I provide direction and leadership to a team of professionals, guiding them towards the successful achievement of the company's mission, functions, and annual profitability goals and objectives.

One of my primary roles is identifying clients' business challenges and working collaboratively with them to develop advertising solutions that drive their strategic initiatives. I strive to keep our clients educated and informed about the current and future services of the company so that we can enhance their online presence. In addition to my work with the company, I also own and operate various tourism websites across Arizona and Colorado. Through these sites, I have demonstrated the value of interactive advertising to the hotel and tourism industry by successfully booking hotel accommodations in excess of $1 million in Northern Arizona. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the tourism industry and how to effectively leverage digital marketing strategies to drive business growth.

Oversaw all consumer direct marketing and corporate sales initiatives for this world leader in authentic casual footwear (UGG Australia Boots, Teva Sport Sandals, Simple Shoes), including all internet marketing strategies, catalog strategies, and corporate sales group.
Effectively managed a marketing budget of $1 million used to create consumer direct marketing campaigns that helped achieve our goals. The online marketing campaigns had contributed to the significant enhancement of sales.

My diverse background includes extensive experience in online marketing and e-commerce management with a demonstrated history of successful brand management and business strategy. I have developed strong skills in leadership, management, market research, search engine optimization (SEO), analytics, productivity, sales, leadership, and program development. 

Prior to coming to Fort Lewis, I was honored to serve as Vice President for the Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NACET) and Executive Director for the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation (CEI), where I developed programs that taught high school and college students how to create and implement business strategies for their Startups.

Currently, I have the privilege of serving as a Board Member for Manna Soup Kitchen, where we are striving to eliminate food insecurities from the four corners area.
