As a business development associate I was responsible for developing and preparing proposals in response to both government and commercial Requests for Proposals. This position required me to be a skilled communicator, detail oriented with comprehensive knowledge of my company’s objectives; practices; corporate capabilities and competencies; solution offerings; and position within the industry.  I was involved in each step of the proposal lifecycle and oversee proposal schedules and deadlines. I analyzed government and commercial solicitations; identified requirements and criteria for evaluation; prepared and distributed proposal schedules, outlines, and guidelines; led proposal section teams and direct response requirements; wrote and edited significant sections of proposals while ensuring full compliance; interviewed technical personnel;  conceptualized and created graphics; oversaw final production, assembled and delivered to meet deadliness; and subsequently captured lessons learned. I also assisted executive management in the development of the marketing annual strategic plan. As a member of the marketing team, I supported the daily operations of the department, performed general office functions, and generated and contributed to business development and marketing initiatives.   In addition, I managed the proposal tracking database; helped with developing and implementing work solutions and concept of operations; designed sales and capability presentations; managed inventory and requisitions/purchase orders, responded to ad hoc information requests from the operations departments.

In my role as legal assistant I was responsible for daily office management such as screening high volume phone calls, reviewing incoming legal documents, taking appropriate action on requests from clients and legal community, invoicing clients, and processing payments. I maintained office records, and designed a new filing system to ensure that records were up to date; kept the office budget and record of expenses; interviewed clients to provide attorneys with pertinent information; worked with attorneys in preparation for case trials, closings, hearings, and corporate meetings; conducted research and assisted in the preparation of legal documents; and successfully updated the messaging system to utilize a more modern structure.

While I served as a staff assistant for one of the foremost committees in the United States Senate, I was responsible for maintaining the front office, answering phones, basic correspondence, filing, running errands, providing educational tours of the Capitol to visiting constituents, researching relevant and timely issues and pending bills to present to legislative aides, attend events and network on behalf of the Committee at Legislative events, and assist at press conferences and hearings.
