In 2022, I founded Rubrica, a language testing company focused exclusively on the customer service industry. How did I get here? I started out as an ESL teacher, teaching kids and adults in the US, Australia, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Korea. Over the next ten years, I... • Co-designed 5 internationally recognized tests • Oversaw the administration of 500,000+ tests • Supported relationships with 200+ vendors and 200+ customers (including 20+ BPOs) • Doubled company revenue over a three-year period This experience has given me a view of the stakeholders at every level, from the examinees interacting with the words onscreen to the decision-makers evaluating which test will meet their needs. Language testing is my passion, and when used effectively and responsibly, its impact can be felt far beyond the reach of the test itself.
