I grew up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and now find myself across the land, as a graduate from UWE Bristol, where I’ve learnt a new culture, traditions, history and about the people, all whilst having pursued a Bachelor of Arts, Honors degree in Marketing. I am now pursuing a Postgraduate degree in Events and Festivals Management to broaden my knowledge in the mutual Marketing and Events sector. My dissertation research focused on Racism in English Football, and how anti-racist groups and football clubs/associations, alongside the social media conglomerate can develop more stringent initiatives and consequences to reduce the occurrence of racially motivated instances against black players. My previous experience includes working alongside the Project and Sustainability Manager at Ashton Gate Stadium to deliver the Arctic Monkeys concert, and included all aspects of Traffic/Transport Control and Crowd Management. My current role at Ethical Power Connections as a SHEQ Coordinator involves conducting trend analysis, ensuring document control and quality assurance, calculating scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, developing the SHEQ strategy, working alongside a new software company for the development of construction-specific usability and working closely with the Health and Wellbeing Working Group to encourage social and mental wellbeing in the workplace.
