Responsibilities: act as editorial and legal advisor for the Association of International Law Firm Networks (AILFN). This includes drafting and distributing internal and external corporate correspondence, creating legal publications, developing editorial protocols, corresponding with writers, assisting authors with articles, content development, copy editing publications, proof reading, and line editing.

AILFN is a new trade association owned by law firm networks in order to represent their common interests. AILFN has four purposes: (1) enhance the position and recognition of all networks in the legal market; (2) establish common principles to maintain standards of quality; (3) provide a forum for networks to exchange non-confidential information; and (4) negotiate agreements with vendors that can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of networks and their members. AILFN will have network members whose members have more than 150,000 attorneys in 4,000-plus offices who cumulatively bill between $40 billion to $60 billion U.S. dollars annually. This is approximately 10 percent of commercial legal services market on earth.

Responsibilities: managed and litigated through trial or settlement a consistent caseload of complex litigation involving multiple parties and jurisdictions. Handled and negotiated disputes related to claims of consumer protection for lack of compliance with federal law, personal injury, identity theft, medical malpractice, and unfair and deceptive trade practices. Drafted pleadings and discovery, conducted depositions, interviewed clients, and negotiated with insurance adjusters pre-litigation.

Responsibilities: edited and developed content for Enjuris.com, a website devoted to personal injury law and individuals who have been in any sort of accident. This included developmental editing, line editing, copy editing, pitching/writing articles, and monitoring the website for legal clarity and compliance. Tracked state-level changes to law or advertising ethics rules that could potentially directly impact the company and advised management so as to avoid pitfalls.

Responsibilities: edited the opinions of the Massachusetts Court of Appeals and the Supreme Judicial Court. Checked each opinion for factual accuracy and grammatical errors, and performed structural edits. Also fact-checked every reference and citation.

Responsibilities: as managing editor, was in charge of the production of Volume 18.1 (which consisted of 20 international articles), the management of the editorial staff, and the editing of both professional and student pieces. Also drafted article for Volume 18.1 on a comparative analysis of freedom of speech between German and American video games.

Jennifer Kain Kilgore is a former attorney who provides legal and editorial support services. She currently works as an eDiscovery Project Manager for Datamine Discovery, an affiliate of KEY Discovery. She formerly worked as the Editorial Director for AILFN, the Association of International Law Firm Networks, and as an attorney editor for AILFN and other organizations. She was also as an associate attorney with the Boston-area law firms MALIS|LAW and Brown & Knight. She has worked with many different institutions ranging from a judicial internship at the Roxbury division of the Boston Municipal Court to the Massachusetts Reporter of Decisions. She is a graduate of Ohio University (B.S., Journalism, 2009, cum laude) and the New England School of Law (J.D., 2012), where she served as both associate and managing editor for the New England Journal of International and Comparative Law.
