Jennifer Patterson's Linkedin Analytics

As a Senior Associate UX Designer, I've been able to bring together my passions for art, design, and problem solving. I discovered my love for UX Design a few years ago and have been self teaching in the field ever since. What I love most about designing experiences for users is the challenge of truly understanding the users needs and being able to create a solution that best fits that. It's incredibly rewarding to know that my work is making a positive impact on the work the users do. I am passionate about learning new things and continuing to develop my skillset in any way that I can to improve the user experience of digital products. During my time at BNY Mellon, I had the chance to lead a team of two UX designers and currently collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure our designs meet both business goals and user needs. I'm also proud to participate in numerous Women in Engineering events as a core member at BNY Mellon, and I'm an active member of Toastmasters. Outside of work, I'm passionate about illustrating. Drawing has always been a hobby of mine, and I've been working on improving my skills by doing a 30-day illustrator challenge last year and practicing digital illustrating through my graphic design certificate program. I find it to be a great way to destress and have fun while still improving my design craft. Overall, I'm excited to continue learning and growing in my career as a UX designer, and I hope to contribute my range of skills to help others see the value of user-centered design.
