Overall responsibilities included the creation and implementation of business strategy, thought leadership, and the promotion of Zurich’s value proposition for Specialty E&O in Canada. These responsibilities had an impact on the following lines of business: Miscellaneous E&O, Technology E&O, and Security & Privacy.

Senior Underwriter (Misc E&O, Tech E&O, Cyber)

•	Analyzed companies from various industries to place E&O and Cyber coverage; Underwrote both public and private companies with revenues ranging from $100K to $10B+
•	Effectively communicated with various local and head office managers to obtain proper underwriting authority
•	Developed broker relationships by focusing on customer service and visiting broker offices; I gave many Cyber presentations with the majority of presentations leading to an increase in submissions from targeted brokers

Underwriter (Misc E&O, Tech E&O, Cyber)

Timbercreek Asset Management

•	Debt: Create underwriting packages for 
presentation to the Mortgage Advisory Committee. Preparation includes market analysis and valuation of various types of commercial real estate assets such as multi-residential, office, industrial and retail.
•	Debt: Created and implemented an access-based Debt Group Pipeline tool which is currently used by team members to manage deal flow.
•	Acquisitions: Analyze various multi-residential apartment buildings throughout Canada for acquisition. Responsibilities include building financial models in Excel, market analysis and site visits.
•	Acquisitions: Create investment summaries of proposed acquisitions for institutional equity investors.

Associate (Debt/Acquisitions Group)

The Claro Group

•	Developed and prepared complex insurance claims on behalf of various Fortune 500 companies for first-party property damage and third-party asbestos and pollution. Responsibilities included financial modeling, document reviews, client coordination, and project management. A recent project included a third-party asbestos related engagement seeking to recover from various London market and domestic insurers for a fortune 500 conglomerate and involving over $2 billion in damages.
•	Designed and maintained access databases to efficiently manage large volumes of client data related to insurance settlement and/or litigation demands (e.g. claimant, environmental, and expenditure databases). Examples include the following: (1) a 400,000 claimant database with over $2 billion in expenditures and (2) a 22,000 claimant database with over $100 million in expenditures.
•	Assisted clients with various process improvement objectives. Responsibilities included on-site interviewing, process mapping, and change management. A recent engagement included the creation of a reference manual and implementation of various process improvement objectives for the Risk Management function of a fortune 500 utility company. This was completed after interviewing 11 client employees and 2 outside vendors over a period of 8 months. My role was as project lead reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Senior Consultant (Insurance Claims Group)

Bank of America - LaSalle Global Trust Services

•	Analyzed loan portfolios and provided daily summaries to clients.
•	Monitored portfolio compliance tests and asset quality.
•	Maintained bookkeeping of all distributions to noteholders.
•	Received, tracked and verified all trades associated with portfolios.
•	Interacted with investment bankers and collateral managers on a daily basis to ensure proper management of assets.
•	Effectively utilized team members to assist management with ad hoc projects. Responsible for managing five team members over a period of five months for the analysis of a $500 million CDO which led to the successful recreation of its accounting.

Analyst (Collateralized Loan Obligation Group)

Mesirow Financial

•	Analyzed and interpreted financial statements for multiple valuation/litigation engagements. Simplified company financials by incorporating information throughout the body and notes of quarterly and annual reports for comparable company, market transaction, and discounted cash flow analysis.
•	Created financial models for a variety of analyses using excel. Responsible for reverse engineering business enterprise valuations submitted by opposing counsel and quantifying the impact of changes in key assumptions. Created and reviewed models for the comparable company, market transactions, and discounted cash flow analysis. 
•	Effectively organized and managed large amounts of information on data intensive projects. Analyzed ten complex software contracts along with thousands of pages of accompanying documents collected by the SEC.  Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive set of work papers and submitting a detailed summary of each contract for a final report. Also, responsible for maintaining work papers on numerous valuation and litigation engagements.
•	Significantly improved personal project management and team building skills. Each engagement was run on a tight schedule and required strong communication and project management skills of all team members to ensure the timely delivery of high quality work.
