Collab Asia is a digital talent network and entertainment studio focused on maximizing the creative and financial potential of video creators and libraries. I built and developed Southeast Asian business for Collab Asia as the first employee in the region. Responsible for the P&L, strategy, operations and overall business development. Recruited and trained initial team that now counts 100 people in Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. Reduced turnover in key staff roles by placing emphasis on growth, accountability and incentive structure. Championed continued professional development for top performers in the company.

Jerry Soer is the Education & Enablement Lead of Global Creator Operations at TikTok, based out of Los Angeles. 

Previously he was the Head of Southeast Asia and Vice-President of Partnerships at Collab Asia. He led the company's expansion in Southeast Asia, overseeing regional activities in creator talent development, digital rights management, and business development. 
 
Jerry has worked in the talent development and digital media marketing industries for 15 years, over which he has extended his passion for talent development to include brand partnerships & influencer marketing. 

He is an angel investor in thecreator economy, ed tech and Web3, AI startups.

Before having kids, I

1) Work after hours often, because I had nothing else to do
2) Start something only when I feel inspired.
3) Don’t worry about deadlines because I’ll just do more of (1) 

After having kids, I

1) Work during work hours. If it’s school pick up time, I’m not working.
2) Start projects regardless of how I feel.
3) Don’t worry about deadlines because it will get done.

The creator economy is a big business - lots of dollars and cents flowing around! But at its core - I love this space because of stories like these - 

it's easier than ever for people to create meaningful art - to share it online - and have the chance to reach millions of people.

I watched Wesley's film - and it's beautiful. Seeing it go viral gives me faith in YouTube's algorithm.
